You don't know the whole story. A bunch of people obviously got mad about this, and when they pushed him, he came back with a whole bunch of anti-Semitic shit, about how Israel wouldn't exist if Jews weren't secretly in control of everything, how we are so rich we might as well just buy something closed-source, etc., etc.
Of course, I forgot the best part. You couldn't write a functional operating system without inputs from Israelis...RSA is kind of necessary... |

Not in the operating system itself, but in any useable distro you have to provide support for encrypted communications. So unless he wants to not include OpenPGP, any browser, or any of the many other things which are needed in everyday life, then you'd need to include RSA. |
