should next year start something like "if you are the only person to predict a rider you get double the points for it", would make my points count look much better though still pathetic Pfft

In that case, don't send your predictions the first, and wait to be the last to send them, so no one can pick what you have picked

Tour of Guangxi Result

Podium
1) Tim Wellens
2) Bauke Mollema
3) Nicholas Roche
Answer to Bonus Question - Who will be the highest placed Asian rider? is Yukiya Arashiro

Generally a popular rider, Wellens had no takers in this race. His win is not fruitful to any team. Second placed Mollema had two picks and Roche had one. The bonus question was answered correctly by two members. Alaphilippe and Hermans were popular picks but they both just missed the podium, finishing 4th and 5th, respectively. Landa and Kelderman were also popular, but they did not performed up to expectations.

Croatia and Jandal pick up the win here with the correct answer to the bonus question. No one picking Wellens meant that no one had the chance to catch them. Marco and Hillis finish joint 3rd in this race. A low scoring ends our season, as only Selwink picks up points for Roche, besides those already mentioned.

All that's left now are the answers to the Year Long Questions Set 1. The final table and the awards for the season will come after that. Stay tuned...

Year Long Predictions Set 1 Results

A mixed bag here with some hard and not so hard questions and some good and not so good results. Top dog here was clearly Raziz with a massive points haul, not far off 100 ahead of next challenger purepasd. The Aussie achieved this with 4 of the 5 final questions correct, along with a half point for Coquard switching teams in the other, as well as picking Froome for the Tour/Vuelta double. The latter as well as Selwink and emre both answered 4 correctly to pick up second, third and fourth whilst jandal and Marco picked three correctly a tied fifth. Suffering a bit here was Abhishek and Croatia, the latter of whom only picked Ciolek to retire out of any answer.

Nobody answered the correct winners of the WT or CQ rankings (both GVA) or the Giro, taken out by Dumoulin. Neither did anybody predict Kwiatek, Gilbert and GVA to win San Remo, Flanders and Roubaix respectively and surprisingly only emre picked Valverde to win Liege.

Croatia was too hipster for mainstream riders and Abhishek went with his Movistar-lead heart but everybody else picked Chris Froome to win his 4th Tour in one of our most easily guessed questions. The same duo also (ironically for Abhishek) missed Movistar to win the most team's classifications, whereas everybody else did too. 4 people also guessed a retiree correctly, with guesses of Ciolek, Contador and two of Haimar Zubeldia. Shoutout also to Luxemburger for his pick of Meintjes -> Dimension Data as the only completely correct transfer guess.

The scores from here will be added onto the rest of the season's total for our final standings in the not too distant future. Watch this space...
