I think Greece is the worse team of this WC even though we've seen only 3 matches.Only one big scoring chance against Korea?!..
dont underestimate korea in 2002 the reached the last 4 or 8 i dont know i think it was 4
They reached the last 4, after two unbelievable games where their best player wasn't born in Korea, and wore a uniform strangely similar to those of the referees.
And now an in-depth tactical analysis of Argentina-Nigeria:
Lagerback is an idiot.
That's it. I could write why, but that would just be redundant.

Well if El Genio thinks that Cambiasso and Zanetti aren't good enough for your team, then why can't Veron play alone in a 4-1-1-4 formation?
Good save - Messi is playing good today though.
It's not a problem. Messi was coming very deep, and Tevez was cutting inside to support as HiguaÃn drifted wide. The midfield was there. It just didn't "start" there, it was coming from other positions, if you get what I mean.
The only problem the midfield has is lack of defensive cover, but given that Maradona usually plays two fullbacks who absolutely do NOT attack, he doesn't need more defensive cover, and therefore doesn't need Cambiasso.
(Not selecting Cambiasso who is likely the world's best holding midfielder, however, is incredibly dumb)

I'm not quite shure why Di MarÃa is up there at the left wing, how many times did he actually touch the ball during the game?
The problem is that Heinze is instructed to stay back, so Di MarÃa is isolated. With Jonas going up, Argentina mostly played through the right.
I can't stand Di MarÃa, he's a whiny little bitch who thinks he's god and doesn't respect anyone.....but today the fact he wasn't involved wasn't his fault.
Quite. He's no fullback and he was awfully positioned. If Lagerback had a brain and wasn't so tipically swedish ("We must play 4-4-2 no matter how horribly unsuited our players are to it and no matter how much it may be the worst possible choice against this particular opponent. Nothing else exists" ), Obasi could've destroyed Argentina.
It's funny that, while most managers spent their friendlies experimenting, only Maradona did the smart thing, using the friendlies to cement his starting eleven and train his team in the system to use....and come the first game he changes it around. Makes no sense

I'll have this playing prior to kickoff on Monday. Hope you guys know German. Otherwise learn it, especially if you don't like Holland (not in general, but just on Monday of course)!

Lagerbäck actually tried 4-3-3 once when he was manager of Sweden, but that match didn't go that well, and he immediately switched back to 4-4-2 the match after.
