We got more gold medals than Sweden! SUCCESS!
Spoiler Yeah, yeah, I know they got 18 medals overall and we got 4. I also know they took 1 gold and we took 2, so don't bother pointing that out!
The important thing isn't to win; it's to beat the swedes.
How hard can it be?

Rank it by overall medals.
They don't rank it by overall medals (Like some already have said several times before in this thread)
Yep, I've never seen that in Germany at least. Are there really countries that rank that way first?
Well, on the official London2012 website it's also ranked like this table, so I don't think so.. |

To me, the best performer for Norway was Piasecki. One of the most surprising performances in the olympics overall? |

Somehow I think Greece, Portugal, Belgium, Finland and Less Sweden and Norway, expected more of this olympic games.
Also Canada.. 1 gold and 18 bronze medals.. that really sucks; you have so many good athletes but just not good enough for Gold. |

Nah, Portugal can only bring up to 3 medals. This year our top atheltes were injured, including Nelson Evora, and our biggest hope, Telma Monteiro, sucked terribily being knocked out in the first round. |

And on my TV special coverage menu from DirecTV it's ranked that way. That's my only source.

Judging by the Olympics coverage in Australia you would think that tenth in the world is like some sort of apocalypse.

Czech republic 19th with 10 medals/4gold, great.
1 medal on 1million people, big countries dont have a chance to beat this.
Slovakia with 4 medals, that is not bad, but without a gold and that is unusual mainly because water slalom always brought us some.
Anyway very nice games overall, i enjoyed them a lot. Next stop-Rio!Beware the gangs there.

Not surprised to see her/him taken. She was dominating the competition with nearly all her throws around 21.00-21.30 m. |

Yeah, her throws were reminder of old times of Fibingerova and NDR, USSR doped athletes...
