Done deal confirmed. Also BMC resigned with other 7 riders in the team.

I'm a bit disappointed abou him wanting to ride the Tour again. I'm not sure that Gilbert will be the sort of domestique who would ultimately help Cadel as much as he could - he and VdB had some problems like that at this year's Tour. Still, if they can overcome that then it could work out alright, I guess.

I don't know, I'm just guessing but I got the sensation that Gilbert wants to try to compete one day as a Tour contender. He might take this chance to learn from a champ.

This. If I thought that this was the extent of his ambition then I wouldn't see a problem but he will probably want another shot at the green jersey if the profiles are anything like this year. That would require teammates which weaken Cadel's support.
Still, amazing get for BMC. With him and Hushovd they should have an amazing classics line up.

Phil should have already figured out that he hasn't got a chance to win the green with the current points system unless there's a ridiculous amount of uphill finishes.
Also it kinda sucks that he signed for BMC, because Cadel is one of the few guys who, imo, compose the second group of favourites who can challenge Gilbert's domination in the hilly classics.

A useful TT rider but I worry that none of the signings so far have a lot of WorldTour points.

I wish they'd try harder to sign Type 1 diabetes riders, but still they're mad.

Shit, are they joking?
