Our DT won
It seems like the Giro is the worst GT ever in ICL for us. It's just terrible in every way. No way Beckeringh should perform like this unless he crashed. And despite all that we've only been in only 2 breaks...

Goddamnit Wellens, at least try to be some near the front when the final climb starts. Very frustrating compared to a similar rider like Verona who's kicking ass right now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Can't get over how good Verona suddenly is in this Giro. 4 years not a single attack and suddenly he is placing a counter attack in a group of Aru, Quintana and Bardet Where was this version of him in the past 4 GTs I sent him to?
At least Fernandez isn't far behind quality-wise. Good racing by him so far. Unlike Verona, he seems at his limit but at least he's riding conservatively and doesn't waste energy.
Nice 2nd place by Dorado and Konrad will end up with at least 3 stage wins if he goes into breaks

So again absolutely nothing from our team. At least we are still on the 2nd place in MC and YT. At least now. |

We had a perfect opportunity there as Aru was suffering, but we waited for too long even to come around Pinot. Thrown away an opportunity, though more time on Bardet/Majka is always nice.
Uran doing well, Polanc also steady

Pfft. To me, it is complelety fair. It was usually Wellens heavily overperforming in the GTs compared to Verona in the past. In fact, I think he is just riding according to his stats. With a MT of 76, he has 3 Top 15 results. Veron has none in 6 GTs ridden. It#s about time that justice is served. Vamos Carlitos!

Giro Valle d'Aosta
Stage 3 was epic, great to see Castillo attack early with a teammate, shame he couldn't ride away from the field but Project Africa had a great race here and denied us.
Was hoping for more teamwork and attacking on stage 5 but we just seemed to follow the wheels.
A podium and three in the top 15 is not too bad but we had really high hopes for this one.
Giro
The Bardet nightmare continues, and we are only half way through
On the plus side Zabel managed another podium and Viennet is going for the KOM

This Giro is maybe worse than our 2016 Vuelta, our only other GT

Still looking good in the Giro, points jersey could actually become ours with some luck.
Sochi started off well too, Kreuziger and Spilak both looking for a good GC.

California: Bad luck for Sergio Henao on stage 4, he lost over 3 minutes.
Sotchi: Vittel wins a WT TTT, wow. And Tony Martin with a great ride on stage 2 will deliver a fine GC result.

only now notice the giro was going one, immediatly see Kiserlovski starting well. 1 sec off pink really stings though
3rd after stage 10 OMG
and we lose it immediatly in stage 11 but 4th is also great.
beating Majka is a big plus too

Hm Tour des Fjords fourth stage crashed twice now after the finish. Any body knows a solution, should I simulate the stage?

And another sprint stage that we failed hard by allowing a break to take it. Goddammit!

Great work by Wilco in Sotchi, that is what we came for. Now seal that second place in the closing TT (it was a TT right?) and we had an awesome race. Stellar to see him with the big guns for the first time this season (had some awful attempts like Toowoomba), we need the Kelderman of that shape more often if we want to come second in the final rankings this year (which we absolutely want to do).

Oh wow Tony Martin absolutely beasting the mountain in Sochi, Top6 is guarranteed basically.. Stage win and 4th place is in the table and good chances of it happening, I'm overwhelmed by him.
And in California Kozhatayev doing well in what appeared to be a crosswind stage, gaining time to some rivals.
Good day

Stage 13
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77KPg...7KPgUaSxTI
A flat stage in which not much was expected to happen, but then when Boasson Hagen had a puncture other teams started to put down the hammer and the peloton was split in many groups. Focus also lays on EBH trying to chase back.
Stage 14
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw21G...w21Gt_Qv2s
Mountain stage with a battle between the favourites and the breakaway.
Spoiler Konrad is quite disappointing so far but it's nice he could repeat the stage win from last year, but other than that I haven't seen anything from him and he's less active than I'm used to. It's nice though that Koladozhagh is leading the U25 competition with a big margin and Villella is still in the top 20 so that kind of makes up for it in my point of view. |

Polanc looking stronger than Quintana today. It seems like Aru was the strongest climber on the tough mountain stage though, not a great sight for us.

I'm not sure I understand PCM anymore. Boasson Hagen stronger than Degenkolb on hilly sprints, the former is consistently stronger than Intxausti as well! Kreuziger stronger than Porte in Sochi, who is barely able to beat Tony Martin! I think I need a reboot.
Is Intxausti riding as a domestique in the all races he rides, despite us not having anyone stronger in the climbs? How can a top 15 contender keep losing time stage after stage? And it's not the first time, keeps happening race after race. I mean 77 mon can't be this bad!!

Last three stages of AToC are up now: https://pcmdaily.c...st_1281940
Spoiler The ITT was not long enough in the climb to get serious gaps among the GC contenders. The mountain stage sealed the deal with one rider being far better than the rest. The last stage went to the breakaway.
