- Porte was second strongest in Tour last year after Froome.
- Quintana is super good, but Froome smash him always in first 1-2 weeks, last year all 3 weeks. He liver more on REC.
Froome: 83
Quintana: 82
Porte: 82
Nibali: 81
Contador: 81
Chaves: 81
Aru: 80
Bardet: 80
Valverde: 80
Perfect stats. And yes Contador is not the same but he should have pretty good secondary stats opposed to Porte and even Quintana imo (besides REC). But maybe a little unsure about Chaves, he is a type of rider similar to Valverde, he can win too much time on the hilly stages but i don't disagree with his mountain stats but hope they test his stats carefully not to make him OP. What would you have him on Hill? 80?
When we are talking only about MO stats Quintana is slightly better climber than Froome. I think Quintana should have 83 and Froome 82. Or they should be at least equal in MO imho.
Contador -1 to Quintana in MO. What you base it on? Have you seen Tour De France in recent years? Nobody can keep up with Froome the first 1-2 weeks, not even Quintana...
Contador is very very far from them.
yeah I have seen Tour de France. I think nobody can keep with Froome is not the right expression. In the last Tou for instance Porte definetely could. Regarding of Quintana it was not possible since he had some problems ( as was reported). Well, maybe excuse but then if you saw la Vuelta you could see that Froome was not able to drop him. So assuming that everything is fine with both of them (top shape) Quintana can certainly keep up with Froome (speaking about climbing).
Well Contador. Lets see. But still the best stage racer of this generation. And Contador could also dropp Froome however it is unknown if it will be still possible for him. Contador is 34 Froome will be 32. Its not such a big difference (2 years and a half).
Froome is never in top shape in Vuelta and certainly not after had won Dauphiné, won Tour and won Olympic bronze...
Yes Quintana has always problems in tour, problem is that Froome is much better...
Contador? He was good in Tour this time where Froome was not with and he was also doped...
Porte could not keep up with Froome last year: https://youtu.be/0WEvW_n6gGs?t=8m00s
Yes when he was +3 minutes behind in the standings, he could well be allowed, because he was not dangerous anymore.
Quintana has already shown on the Tour (2015) that he can be better climber than Froome. For me they have a similar climbing skills and the differences comes from the shape.
After them, Porte and Contador have similar climbing level.
And on the third step there are lot of cyclist on the same level. Sometimes some of them are better and sometimes others. I would add on that list at least Krwuiswijk, Zakarin, Pinot. Yates brothers near too.
We will see Dumoulin climbing better, because he has change his training to improve it. Last year was focused on the TT as he said, but this year looks for improving on GC.
Exactly. This is how it seems to be. But Contador is right know a conundrum. |

Just played my first season with these stats and im generally very satisfied. Just want to say that Kwiat might need some adjustments. In game he is more like a GC rider. In both the tour and vuelta he finished 4 th overall which I find alle bit unrealistic. Have you heard about this issue before?

We've already lowered Kwiatek's MO, we also noticed he was a bit too good

Also Sagan finish pretty well overall compared to IRL. He finished 23rd in the Tour in my career with these stats But he goes for the green jersey, and all the classics as we know him. Beast
What is your system and process regarding to updates? Do you inform the rest of the community when there is new stats`?

The stats get updated every single time they are changed on that document. We make changes everytime they are needed and they show up in the document.

Another young rider that is improving well this year is Lilian Calmejane. He's having good results. |

I think maybe a small cobble upgrade could be in store, if he keeps it up. But I would wait for RvV and P-R to happen first.

@Ton1Martin
Stats are updated nearly everyday and can take anything from a few mins to a hell of a lot longer especially after a big monument for example. Anybody in the stats team can do these changes but I tend to focus on stuff at WT level, Kodman at CT level and Croatia a bit of everything at all levels. When there is a debate over a rider then we take a vote on his stats, this only ever occurs on the big riders. If push comes to shove I normally have the final say.......... so if you can blame me for anything that looks bad with a really big rider! But all that we do is really a big team effort.
@Catenaccio Calmejeane was improved some time ago but I expect him to improve some more anyway.
Finally as of GW all the cobble stats are mostly up to date but I have decided to leave riders for example like Gilbert and Naeson until at least after Flanders to gauge how good they really are. Also other big cob riders like Vanmarcke (sickness) and a couple of the Sky riders have not done that well so have left them etc for now because based on the last two years there have been a number of riders that have not done well on the cobbles but then have come back and put great performances on Flanders and Roubaix.

Thanks. Question.
Contador and Valverdes stats keeps falling in my career (obviously due to their age). So almost only after 1 season all their vital stats are pretty low. I increased their decline age in Lachis but that doesn't help at all.... Can I somehow make sure their stats won't fall so quickly and that much with lachis?

Decline age doesn't work. It's a column in dyn_cyclist, but it doesn't have an effect anymore since PCM 15. So yes, nothing can be done about it

I am playing PCM 15 and it still doesn't work. I raised Valverdes decline age to 40 (just to test is) and still it is falling right away...

As said, it doesn't work anymore since PCM 15, so that's the expected outcome really.

Looking to the cobbles, the season of Tiesj Benoot is pretty dissapointing. This year hasn't shown anything special yet.
By the way Oliver Naesen is doing very well and another surprise in cobbles is being Luke Durbridge. He's showing a great performance.
Let's see what happens in Roubaix. |
