It's unlikely there are going to be big new updates before the 2017 db. You can always copy and paste the Google sheet stats to update your own db! I've posted a guide on how to do so.

Funnily enough, I asked the same question in the DB team chat yesterday, I'll quote matt's answer there:
they've delayed it two weeks ago saying it would be released last week, then last week saying it would happen this week

The planning system has been messed up heavily. And that may have been an understatement.
New category of racing with 1.2, 2.2 added. Also 1.2U and 2.2U races are raceable. CT and PCT have been separated from each other. Possibility of creating a DT. Young cyclists no longer separated from the rest, but rather added as FA. New trainer system, new scouting system, changed rider development. Create a team has been changed a bit, you can also create a new WT team now. Changing main sponsors now possible during career. National Team decided differently. Injuries also work differently now. Adding new races to your own race calendar has become a lot harder.
From the top of my head, there's probably loads of other stuff I forgot.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get used to it fairly quickly I guess. Probably easier for me to get a hang of it now than when I started with first CM game in the early 2000s. |

Hey guys!
Been away from the game a while.
Is this game worth a buy? From the screenshots, I like the new system with the objectives for the riders. However, I've bought PCM15 but didn't like the changes, specially in the training system. What's your opinions on this year game?
Otherwise I'll transfer the new stats for my personalized DB in PCM13 and play there.

I really, really like PCM16 and I recently dived back into it, which I always do in february when the season kicks off.
But it REALLY ruins my games that all the big teams HOARD riders and end up with squads of 40-50 riders if not more. It prevents many of the best riders from going to the major races.
For instance in a career mode, you will usually be left with only the top-3 in each category actually turning up for races. No. 4-10 are domestiques or don't even do races because their team has 46 other riders on their roster.
It takes a lot of fun away from the big Tours and Big Classics when you miss that layer of semi-favourites :/
Any way to improve this - other than going in manually and "correcting" transfers? And is there any easy way of doing this? It is very complicated to get right in the PCM Fast Editor and I'm always afraid of bankrupting or ruining teams with my "manual" transfers. |

Hi, I haven't played much PCM this year.
I downloaded a bunch of variants earlier and transferred them to the CM_Stages folder - they are working fine.
I want to use the EP database now though, and start a new career. Is it okay to leave all the variants in the CM_Stages folder or will there be some weird clash with the EP database - if the folder I'm downloading contains variants?
I have some realname DBs in the workshop folder but it is outside of the game, and I assume they have no influence if not chosen. |
