Trademark law. Honestly, they only have the right in theory. It hasn't been tested in a court of law yet.

In all I think that teams should be fine with their likeness in the db, but I don't know how it is with the law :/ |

Also to point out, that I doubt anyone would see the various db's as bad publicity for the sport and for the people involved. When you make a DB you go under the license of Cyanide (the developer) and only they can interfere us doing this, but then again why would they?
Now this is not a discussion about copyright, it's a discussion between users and the db team on possible mistakes or people in need of assistance with solving a problem

If you are really that desperate and you had the past EP installed as you mentioned 1.5, you may try a clean install and only install 2016 DB V1 to V1.2.

That's not our fault. Something went wrong with your games installation in fact. Try to contact cyanide about that. Or most likely, you need drivers for your video card, so take a look at those too.

I tried to extract it to another place: ok, that worked.
the i doubleclick it to open: i get a fault message: it was going away to fast to read it correctly, after that my virusscan (Norton) tells me it has deleted the file. Now everytime i try to extract it, my virsuscan automatically deletes this.
Don' t know what to do know, any other way to get this file?
especially because i'm now playing the 2016 1.0 database i'm stuck in my 'be a pro' game in the second year because of a crash in june i can' get past (thnk something to do with the portugal stage which causes trouble)
I also saw in my downloads section that the database 1.0 is 16.800.000kb and the variants 9.100.000kb and that the 1.1 setup file is only 430.000kb; Is that correct? |

Of course it's correct, the 1.1 and 1.2 are updates to the main file, the v1 
As for your problem, well, frankly, Norton sucks. You should deactivate it momentarily and try to find a way to get back a file (you should find it in the quarantine). Then my personal advice is to get a better antivirus software 
Otherwise, deactivate Norton and re-download the files.

Deactivating Norton did the trick.
Never had so much problems with installing updates, and first time i get the Norton problem. But thansk a lot man for the help and the patience !!

The reason why there are only 127 race rules is that 127 is the limit, just like there's a limit for equipment brands and tga skins which is 127. That's because of the 8-bit programming standard that only accepts number going from -128 to 127. It's a bit more complicated than that but in short, that is it.
Anyway, what you could do is copy the table of the hotfix to the db you're using via excel editor. DiCyc I think posted a guide on how to do that, if you can't figure out how, although it's quite simple

The easiest would be to change the entries for gene_i_max_team in the table STA_UCI_class from 25 to 22 in two rows. Namely the ones for AutresTours and AutresClassiques. That should solve it. However, we didn't test whether this works properly if you change career already in progress, so you might want to keep a backup of the original one.

Hey I'm sorry if this was already asked, but I have 2 questions:
1. Can I have both the 2015 and 2016 DBs working, or do I have to choose between one of the two, because of overwriting files?
2. I have a problem with v1.2, as soon as I choose to start a career (not pro cyclist), the game crashes. Solutions?

We always advise to clean install the game, becuase having both dbs will cause several crahses.
