This result was a surprising one. He has been very quiet in the sprints though, so maybe his tactics have been different to at the Tour

Very nice reports for the Vuelta. Lots of small teams getting big wins which is good. About the transfers, I think maybe you should change the odd ones... But leave the realistic ones. |

@Sutty: He was looking comfortable in 5th until the stage to l'Angliru. That stage blew the peleton and GC apart!
@Pinktay: Thanks a lot. I was worried that the reports would be looking a bit rushed because they being posted 4 at a time, but nice to know you are liking them. And with the transfers... I have something up my sleeve for the PCM- logic ones!
@Ian: Contador looks out of the running until the Angliru stage. He has made up most of his time during that climb. Looking at the remaining stages, it will be a tight finale!

The Big Stars head to Britain
Whilst Vuelta a España takes a day off from racing, The Tour of Britain organisers have announced some big names will be heading to the British Isles to take part in the race, as they look to fine tune their Worlds preparation.
Swiss National Champion Fabian Cancellara looks set to lead the Leopard - Trek team, no doubt targeting the cobbled stage into Swansea on Stage 3, whilst Garmin - Cervélo can rely on Star Sprinter Tyler Farrar and current World Champion Thor Hushovd, as they go for the Overall Victory.
It looks set to be an exciting race, with the British Cycling Press stating that this is one of the hardest Tour of Britain races in its history to date. The race gets underway on the 11th September in Rochdale.

I have not done the introduction yet. It was just beraking news that Cancellara, Farrar and Hushovd are going to be there
