Simply impressive!
Its like attending the really Tour!
Wiggo is sensational, the bad thing for him is Klödi, with the rest he would has margin in the ITT if he had one 3er so strong day in mountain
And Bonnin... incredible! Only to see he being beaten with the giants of this form is already to congratulate, if above he obtains the final award...
I want to see the following stage... cannot waaaaaaait! hehe

Great that you kept the KOM-lead! Let's hope Wiggo and Kessiakof don't get to much points in the next stage!
Well, good luck!

KoM ranking looking fine.
Great reports as always.
And I thought Wiggins is just in my story a beast.

Thanks again. Really appreciate all the positive feedback.
@ freitas: I knew that question would come! I'll answer it: random potential.
22.07.2011: Tour de France
Stage 19
Modane - Alpe d'Huez
The final day in the mountains, and the last chance for anyone not being a timetriallist to make up some time for tomorrow's time trial. Will we finally see Andy Schleck making a move, or does he still think that his advantage will keep Klöden behind? That will be answered today, on the twentyone hairpins up l'Alpe d'Huez.
An incredibly strong breakaway moved clear today. A bit surprisingly seeing the names in it. Voeckler (Europcar), Jeanneson (FDJ), Moncoutié (Cofidis) and again Velits (HTC) to name a few. Bonnin also in there, and not just staying in the group. He passed first over both Télégraphe and Galibier.
The peloton weren't really interested in chasing them it seemed, and at the foot of the Alpe, they still led by a margin of six minutes, more than enough to secure one of them the stage win. Bonnin was still in the group, but with that many great names in it, he had to let go as the road steeped up.
Leopard finally started to increase the pace in the main field as they reached the beginning of the final climb. Still a pretty large group due to the easy riding earlier on.
Surprise, surprise, Voeckler was the first one to attack from the breakaway group, and with a good kick as well. He immediately gapped his companions a bit, looking strong.
It took quite a long time, but a few kilometres later Voeckler was brought back after a strong pace by mainly Velits. Directly a new attack, this time from Wout Poels (Vacansoleil), with Velits taking chase, leaving the two Frenchmen Jeanneson and Voeckler behind.
Velits made the junction up to Poels and didn't stop there. A quick jump around the Dutchman moved Velits to the front of the race, leading Poels by a few seconds, then Jeanneson, who had now dropped Voeckler.
At the same moment, Andy Schleck finally decided to go. Great to see him finally attacking for once, immediately covered by Gesink and Evans. Anton and Klöden also in good position, but staying cool for a moment.
However, they could nothing do to prevent Velits from soloing up to the top and a second stage win in this Tour. AND THAT DAMN "#¤"#! also took over the KoM jersey, WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF POINTS AS BONNIN!
Schleck was still a little bit in front of his rivals as they began the final kilometer. Anton had made it up to Gesink, while Klöden were now finally realizing that the Tour win was running out of his hands, desperately trying to bridge the gap.
He did, but wasn't able to reach Schleck. The Leopard rider therefore extended his overall lead even more, keeping his small gap all the way to the line. This might actually have won him the Tour.
Rodriguez took the next group over the line, quite a bit behind Schleck & company. Kessiakoff, Niemiec, Evans and Frank Schleck also in here, together with early breakaway rider Evgeni Petrov.

Ohhh Fuckk ! Although I think there's a KoM point on the last stage of the Tour, so you never know with Bonnin YOu still have a chance to win it, with bit of luck Skill will celebrate the jersey in Paris !
Quite disappointing stage as attacking by favoruites go. Schleck should keep the lead, but it's going to be rather close.

Trust me, that little hill just before we enter Champs-Elysèes is right now more targeted than anything else for us.
23.07.2011: Tour de France
Stage 20
Grenoble (ITT)
After three hard days in the Alps, this long timetrial around Grenoble will now decide the final outcome of this Tour. Forty-one kilometres of timetrialling, and two medium size climbs. We'll follow the Top 5 in this report, since that's the important part.
Fifth overall, Joaquim Rodriguez, was the first of the five to take the start. The plucky Katusha climber had a nightmare in front of him, with time trials being his huge Achilles Heel. With Cadel Evans on the same time as him in the overall, something very special would be needed for Purito to even stay in the overall Top 5.
After Rodriguez started another man with a hard day ahead of him, Igor Anton, today wearing some glasses looking a lot like party sunglasses. The Spaniard was before the start just two seconds away from Gesink and the podium, but that was heavily expected to change, to Gesink's favour.
Speaking of Gesink, he was up next. Consistent riding has seen him move up the rankings slightly with every stage. He has also looked stronger and stronger for every day, making him a good bet for staying on the overall podium after today.
What a Tour this has been for Klöden. Great riding all the way through the Tour has placed him in second place overall, a spot he has kept for quite a long time now. He's a minute and a half behind Andy, a large deficit, but not impossible to reach with a great time trial here.
Last man off the starting ramp today, the Maillot Jaune, Andy Schleck. He got the jersey already on Mûr de Bretagne, sixteen days ago, and has kept it all the way since. With a good buffer over his closest rivals, he had some time to play with, even if he rides terribly today.
1st intermediate time check
Rodriguez passed the first time check on a weak time, but about as expected for him, being one of the worst timetriallists in the sport.
Anton comes through a few minutes later, thirteen seconds slower than his compatriot Rodriguez, on a very disappointing time.
Gesink on the opposite, passes through the portal on a very strong time, almost a minute faster than Rodriguez, and over one minute faster than Anton.
Klöden, normally the best timetriallist in the Top 5, disappoints a bit, clocking a time 22 seconds slower than Gesink.
Schleck comes to the time check as last rider today, passing the line an incredible 59 seconds slower than Gesink, even worse than Rodriguez! Either something is seriously wrong, or the many mountains has tired him.
Checkpoint 1:
Robert Gesink Rabobank Cycling Team 23'00 Andreas Klöden Team Radioshack + 22 Joaquim Rodriguez Katusha Team + 53 Andy Schleck Leopard Trek + 59 Igor Anton Euskaltel - Euskadi + 1'06
Provisional GC:
Andy Schleck Leopard Trek Leading Robert Gesink Rabobank Cycling Team + 56 Andreas Klöden Team Radioshack + 1'02 Igor Anton Euskaltel - Euskadi + 2'04 Joaquim Rodriguez Katusha Team + 3'40
2nd intermediate time check
Rodriguez continues to limit his losses as he comes to the second time passage, losing more and more time to the other favourites.
Next comes Anton... Wait, what's Gesink doing in the picture? That tells you about how their second part has gone. Anton now 32 seconds behind Rodriguez, while Gesink takes the lead, 1'34 faster than Purito.
Klöden also continues to disappoint. Maybe it's his terrible German NC jersey? Either way, he comes through over 40 seconds slower than the storming Gesink. Definitely not his best day.
Last man to pass through up in Saint-Martin-d'Uriage, once again Andy Schleck, who's time is so weak that I even missed to take a screenshot on him. 1'41 behind Gesink, saving his jersey by just 14 seconds!
Checkpoint 2:
Robert Gesink Rabobank Cycling Team 47'13 Andreas Klöden Team Radioshack + 44 Joaquim Rodriguez Katusha Team + 1'34 Andy Schleck Leopard Trek + 1'41 Igor Anton Euskaltel - Euskadi + 2'06
Provisional GC:
Andy Schleck Leopard Trek Leading Robert Gesink Rabobank Cycling Team + 14 Andreas Klöden Team Radioshack + 42 Igor Anton Euskaltel - Euskadi + 2'22 Joaquim Rodriguez Katusha Team + 3'39
Rodriguez descends well on the road down to Grenoble, but is still way too slow, and drops all the way down to 8th overall. He really needs to improve his timetrialling if he wants to podium in a Grand Tour.
Anton was dropped by Gesink before the second time check and desperately tries to catch back on the Dutchman. However, he never does and finishes a miserable timetrial, barely keeping his fourth place overall.
Then the amazing Gesink, who actually finished ahead of Anton. His time proves that he has kept a high pace, taking the provisional lead on the stage, beating Bradley Wiggins by one second. Here's a challenge Andy.
Klöden fights hard all the way to the line, but his ugly jersey prevents him from keeping Gesink behind in the GC, dropping him down to provisional third overall. Now the question is, Schleck or Gesink?
Schleck completely empties his whole body, trying to get out as much as possible to stay in front of Gesink and finally get rid of his nickname, Mr. Eternal Second. He pushes all the way to the line, but was it enough?
Spoiler
No! Gesink was too strong, and Andy becomes second again!

Great racing from Gesink. But he will crash on the champs elysees.
And what a close fight for the stage with Gesink, Wiggins and Sanchez within 2 seconds.
