Does anyone have a count of how many times that Cancellara has been linked to doping (specifically CERA)? |

how long will it take to completely finish all tests, days, weeks or months?
2 weeks we'll know the results.
I really don't know whether to be happy to see many of them get caught, or to be scared for what this will do with cycling....
I know it sounds strange, but I actually I hope that they don't catch too many, that will be disaster. |

I'm not expecting many people, if any, to be caught. bah.

Because the tests are unreliable. Specifically, the criteria to consider a test positive has to be impregnable...it has to guarantee 100% that one each million positives won't be a false positive so that innocents won't be charged.
The result of this is that the bar has to be set so insanely high that you can get away with almost anything. This is true for any test that doesn't have a boolean result, but a sliding scale.

Looks better as well if they test and no-one is caught. |

That said, I'm almost sure Evans will get caught. Seriously, the moment the guy was told his samples would be retested, his performance went through the floor......and his explanation for it was wildly inconsistent. He even changed his story altogether after a couple months.

I thought the same during the Tour whilst watching him. It was rather obvious...

I've always told myself that I would give up on cycling professionally if my cycling heroes tested positive (Vinokourov, Basso, Etc.) and it never really happened but I think if it were Fabian Cancellara I'd have some trouble for sure, that may be the end.

here we go.....
So he just doesn't have natural talent like Contador or the Shlecks. After watching the tour i have also come to the conclusion that he must need drugs to keep up with these people.
Well, if you think that, then what does it tell you?
If Evans is on drugs then the people that fly past him on the climbs must be.
Also, about the 09 tour, once he was 5 minutes behind he knew it was over and pretty much gave up on GC.

Precisely
One of the things that irks me is that some people (not talking about anyone specific) consider, for example, Saxo Bank a clean team despite all the smoke and Riis an honest man despite all the lies.

Can't they just come ahead and say that they didn't find anything? |

oh well all my heroes have sooner or later been caught on doping. And the not-caught ones will probably once get caught anyway
Only one not officially caught is Boogerd from my personal favorite list, and that's just because he quitted in time. Ofcourse he has been named in several scandals, but nothing has been verified. |
