Solid final stage from Galvan Ramirez with a sixth on the stage and in GC. Definitely better than what I expected before the race, great result for Mexican cycling! Congratulations to Team Denmark and bbl on a historic Avenir win, as well as to lampre rabobank and the conglomerate on their podium finishes.
And thank you Imladrik for the superb reporting as always

SKJELMOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a a way to cap off our season! Staying in PT was obviously the main goal, but I've been looking forward to this race all year. I thought for sure Plapp was the favorite, and then when Evenpoel made it through the mountains, I didn't think he'd lose so much here. But Skjelmose was truly on a mission after a mildly disappointing stage 6. Taking huge time to win the king stage and then coming out here to finish it off on his own. Conglomerate couldn't use their team strength when it was just men and the clock. What a win! For SKjelmose, Carlsberg, and Denmark!
Skjelmose really came into form at the end of this one. Looking forward to the same for his GT legs for many years to come!
Thank you for the reports!

The second place to top all second places in this race for Remco.
Those are some huge gaps in the final stage, wasn't expecting to be beaten by that much.
Congrats, bbl! What a comeback by Skjelmose after that first mountain stage.
Thanks for the reports!

That’s a surprise by Skjelmose! What a clutch performance to claim yellow in the MTT, which I thought was supposed to be better for both Plapp and Evenepoel. Congratulations, bbl! |

We had a great race, but one bad stage made the difference in the end. 3rd is still good from Plapp, but perhaps could've been better.
Great race especially for MVD. Hayter also showing his chops. Hoping for big things from him next season.
Congrats to bbl and thanks for the reports

Thanks for the reports. Nice race for McTranswerk as we punched above our weight and scored an unexpected stage win with Therapanous.
Congrats to BBl on a great ride by Skjelmose.

Thanks for the reports Imladrik. What a win for Skjelmose, what a win for Denmark! Even with all the forces of the Conglomerate arrayed against us we could not be stopped (because it was *definitely* a team effort). Congrats to Mre for taking the maillot vert and knockout for taking the polkadots.

I'm happy with how Govekar fought with Girmay who was unbeateable in this race.
Thanks for the reports!

Hoped for the victory but not bothered to lose this as i never cared too much about the race before. That said, i really enjoyed the Conglomerate team up and particularly the sky train on the first mountain stage was beautiful to see. Personally, didnt see him as the top favourite but thought Evenepoel might be stronger but Skjelmose was a surprise to me. Congrats to bbl, cool to see Skjelmose victorious here.
Story telling wise, Plapp not winning could be interesting as Krasts will be a contender next season to take revenge. And this years team mate Leo Hayter as a big rival. As much as i'd love a repeat of the Conglomerate team-up, it might be better for the race if those are split up. But thats for next year to decide.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!
