Don't know what happened there, but the Carlsberg alumni got together and put on a show. Amazing to see Warbasse win his and McCormick's home race with a thrilling TT! Congrats Ulrich! And what a job by Roe to win the stage too. Where was that last year pre-decline, let alone now?
On our front, happy to see Olesen held his top 20 on GC despite his lack of TT ability. Other than that, it was about what we could hope for in C2. Just missed that KOM jersey, but had a lot of camera time in the break and tried to motivate ourselves at least.
Thank you for the reports LLS! Really appreciate you taking this on and keeping the season rolling, without any dip in quality!
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Enjoyable race !
Congrats Ulrich, unspectacular but asolid win. The Jura-McCormick battle is fun to watch for us also-rans!
Talansky's 8th was definitely on the lower side of expectations but Craddock and especially Bennett's contribution mean this was a good race for Glanbia.
To win the Green Jersey with only 2 sprints is excellent from the Irish champ!
It's important for our "momentum" that we have more than one rider scoring in races so very happy with the team performance and excited to see the Frame-Bennett sprint team in action in the USA challenge soon

Good TT and all is forgiven. Great ride to finish 2nd on the stage as well as obviously the big prize in the GC. The sponsors are happy, I'm happy, Larry is happy, the stage 6 judges who favored the home town team are happy, we are all happy.
Great riding by Mader took a special effort from Warbasse to hold him off. BNZ are on fire.
No problem on the timing LLS, helps to build the tension, thanks for the reports.

Well, I guess Mäder beats Warbasse in more than 50% of the TTs they ride, but today wasn't such a day, and the home crowd cheered the latter to the GC win. Congrats UU, given how Warbasse's season has gone so far, that's more than deserved!
Personally, I'm absolutely happy with 2nd place for Mäder, and would've signed for that result without the least hesitation pre-race. I mean, he's (on paper) our #4 leader, so a 2nd place in a race where many other teams send their top riders is pretty cheeky... The only point that still stings a bit is that we still don't have a Swiss GC winner in our team chronicle - Aregger in Jelajah and now Mäder in California came very close, but we'll have to continue waiting. That's definitely a point where McCormick are more successful than us
The lack of notable stage points (except for Stepniak's stage podium) is a bit annoying, but clearly not unexpected given the lineup we sent. Just Marchewka has been rather disappointing all season long - but his main role is to push our TTT forward anyway.
Congrats again to McCormick (and to BNZ on a massive race in terms of stage wins - that's 3/7 iirc!), and thanks a lot to LLS for the reports!

Shame to lose a couple of spots in the TT but 4th from Barta is still a great result. Looks like he's was a good choice to get and to then lead the CT races. Couple of riders in the point scoring positions in the u25s is also good.
Congrats to Ulrich and thanks for the reports LLS

Great win!! Didn’t expect Tim to get a stage win when I signed him but extremely happy with that! Erdenebat 3rd is a good result as well! Big rwce in terms of wins for us and a good mid season charge for us! Fingers crossed the team can keep going!

Again, thanks a lot LLS to keep CT game going
Hard for us to not be happy with the result, even if it's not spectacular at all. We were not near from any stage win, but I think that's our first GC podium, and that's a good result. Thanks Mikkel!
I guess the team had a good working hand too, with Bruno and Quentin not so far from the top 25. The TT especially were quite satisfying. Hugues could have done more, but we knew when we hired him that it would mostly be for runner-up places.
And very nice to see Jura and McCornick up top! I'm happy to see you crush the division guys! |
