Medium Team Goal – Top 10
Mercan'Tour Classic Alpes-Maritimes: Valberg - Valberg
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
With Torstein Træen out I will be the leader in this true mountain race. My form is not perfect but not too bad either. Marc Soler, Jack Haig and Mark Padun are the bookmaker favourites.
Idar Andersen was supposed to join the morning breakaway, but he missed it, a dangerous group of 14 riders slipped away. Luckily, we brought it back and Andersen joined the 2nd breakaway attempt. After a while he was dropped but at least this was a not a very strong breakaway group.
Things was not as hectic now, it was the usual elimination from the back of the pack and as we climbed the penultimate mountain the pack was reduced to 21 riders. The first attempt between the better riders was Clément Champoussin but he was brought back before the summit. Mark Donovan attacked over the top. After the downhill at the start of the last mountain first Mark Padun and later Marc Soler attacked.
Close to the top of the last mountain, I attacked from the reduced favorite group. At first I was caught but I gave it a 2nd shot, only the downhill and the final short uphill left.
Mark Donovan won the race in front of Marc Soler and Mark Padun. I finished 5th, a very nice result for me and the team.

Markus Hoelgaard
Major Team Goal – Top 3
Tour of Norway (2. Pro)
Stage 4/6 Vradal - Fjotland
Yesterday’s stage winner Sindre Kulset was our man in the morning breakaway. It came to nothing, besiders the fact that KoM leader Mirco Maestri (Bardiani) cemented his lead in that competition
Rui Costa (UAE) was clearly the better rider at the hard finish, attacking over the last KoM climb. He won with 13” down to a little group led by Mads Würtz Schmidt.
Markus Hoelgaard was doing fine sitting in the pursuit, but sadly melted on the last km coming in as 11th losing 1'22. Faling back to 10th in GC.

Markus Hoelgaard
Major Team Goal – Top 3
Tour of Norway (2. Pro)
Stage 5/6 Hauge - Heddeland
Rather unusual the morning breakaway end up with four riders from the same team, including the KoM leader.
It comes down to a mass sprint finish, won by Matteo Trentin (UAE), only few riders lost time. Our best was Erik Nordsaeter Resell 8th.

Team
Boucles de la Mayenne (2. Pro)
Best stage result Julius Johansen 10th at the opening ITT
Julius Johansen also best in GC 13th
Markus Hoelgaard
Major Team Goal – Top 3
Tour of Norway (2. Pro)
Stage 6/6 Fjagesund - Grønkjær Skisenter
Erik Nordsaeter Resell was in the morning breakaway, but he was caught in a Bardiani sandwich, anyway it came to nothing.
Torjus Sleen and Markus Hoelgaard had a good ride today finishing respectively 5th and 6th. The stage was won by Kristian Aasvold (Coop).
Overall Rui Costa won the race. Our best Markus Hoelgaard 12th, far from delivering on the sponsor request.

Due to the fact that I have not improved significantly over the last months, It has been decided that I will switch trainer from 1/6
The Spring campaign is over, it is time to do a status of achievements.
Individual Ranking (World Tour)
2nd in Giro 3rd in Paris – Nice, Miguel Ángel López leads the World Tour ranking, in front of Tadej Pogačar and Primož Roglič.
With his 13th place in Dwars door Vlaanderen, Erik Nordsæter Resell is team best ranked 266 with 30 points. I have no points in that ranking.
Individual Ranking (CQ Ranking)
Miguel Ángel López also leads the CQ-ranking, in front of Tadej Pogačar and Kasper Asgreen.
I’m team best in CQ, ranked 95 with 318 points. 2nd best Kristoffer Halvorsen ranked 108th with 291 points.
Continental Ranking
Silvan Dillier (Alpecin) lead the continental ranking in front of Edvald Boasson Hagen (TotalEnergies) and Timothy Dupont (Bingoal)
Our best is Rasmus Tiller ranked 14th with 344 points. I am 2nd ranked 17th with 290 points. The team is 3rd in continental rankings.

Baloise Belgium Tour (2 Pro)
Our best stage results came from Rasmus Tiller and Kristoffer Halvorsen, both 9th on a stage. Kasper Asgreen (Quick Step) won the race our best in GC was Kristoffer Halvorsen 16th.
La Route d'Occitanie (2.1)
Erlend Blikra won the 2nd stage
José Manuel Díaz (DELKO) won the race, our best in GC was Torjus Sleen 16th. Erlend Blikra ended 3rd in U25.
Markus Hoelgaard
Medium Team Goal – Top 3
Dwars door het Hageland (1 Pro)
Erik Nordsaeter Resell joined what turned out to be a huge breakaway of 12 riders, the group worked together reasonably well but the pace in the peloton was very fast. Teams like BORA, Trek, Lotto Soudal and INEOS having no riders in the break.
It came to the expected mass sprint finish. We had the perfect timing today and won a double victory with Rasmus Tiller in front of Kristoffer Halvorsen. A very nice result after the disappointment in Tour of Norway.

New trainer should be better for Anton's development, but hard to say he's disappointed even as his abilities have been stagnant. Being first from his team in the CQ Ranking is nothing to scoff at!

Thanks.
Did fine so far, but considering that his dream is being the best uphill, he need to develop quite a bit
The reason i changed the trainer is that they have 0 relation, after working together for 5 months, hope he can connect better with another person.

Stage 1/7 Feldkirch - Feldkirch
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
I will be the main GC hope in the race, but we will also focus on Markus Hoelgaard’s options to make stage results in the hills. As seen from the list below BORA is here with a very strong team.
Main GC contenders
Iver Skaarseth took part in the morning breakaway, but was not strong enough and was dropped from the group mid stage. José Gonçalves (DELKO) showed some fine legs today and harvested 18 KoM points.
It all came together near the finish more than 100 riders got the same time. Nico Denz (DSM) won the stage and the first leader jersey. Our best was Markus Hoelgaard 7th. I finished 9th.

Stage 2/7 Feldkirch - Fulpmes / Telfes
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
The weather is aswful, snow, rain and temperatures around zero. Today is mainly a day for Markus Hoelgaard but also essential that I do not lose much time.
A manageable group opens the stage. The pace is not too hot over Arlberg (cat.1) but the downhill is very dangerous in snowy conditions. Several crashes opens gaps. We lose Idar Andersen, he won’t get back on the bike.
Markus Hoelgaard sits in the leading group with just 6 km left, sadly I am already distanced with more than a minute.
Giovanni Aleotti (BORA) with the stage, Markus Hoelgaard 8th in the same time as the winner. I finish the stage in the peloton losing 1'25.
Markus Hoelgaard is now 6th in GC, I am 24th.

Stage 3/7 Kufstein - Kitzbüheler Horn
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
Today I am the outright leader as we don’t expect Markus Hoelgaard to be able to compete on Kitzbüheler Horn.
A group of 9 riders including both KoM jersey holder José Gonçalves and points jersey holder Nico Denz form the morning breakaway
The last surviving rider from the break José Gonçalves, was caught on Kitzbüheler Horn with just 4.7 km to the top. At this point it is already clear that I will not be faster than my teammate today. Markus Hoelgaard sits in a group at least a minute in front of me.
Neilson Powless takes a solo win and with that also the leader jersey. Markus Hoelgaard 26th at 4’05. I am 31th at 4’55.
Markus Hoelgaard is now 16th in GC, I am 29th. It seems that even though I am on paper the better climber, Markus Hoelgaard’s experience and good balanced skillset was more important today.

Stage 4/7 Kitzbuhel – Pragraten
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
After yesterday’s disappointment at Kitzbüheler Horn, my role as leader was changed to lieutenant, acting as last man for Hoelgaard
A strong group of 12 riders formed the morning breakaway.
Had quite bad legs today and had to let go of the favorites some 10 km from the finish, just as the breakaway was also caught. Biniyam Ghirmay won the stage, Markus Hoelgaard 11th in the same time as the winner.
I lost 1’55 coming in as 51st in the third group.

Stage 5/7 Matrei In Osttirol - Großglockner
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
As this stage is very hard, I’m allowed a free role to try and grab a good result, as it is unclear how much time Markus Hoelgaard might lose here.
A very strong group of 12 riders was allowed a gab of 7’39 as the peloton passed over the first mountain summit. Nicolay Cherkasov (Gazprom) won the stage from the breakaway.
I came in as 21th losing 5'26, Markus Hoelgaard 58th at 7'43.
In the GC, Markus Hoelgaard now 25th at 9’43, I am 32th at 11’36, it seems we won’t get much from this race.

Stage 6/7 Knittelfeld - Wenigzell
Pre. Race / Stage notes:
The GC is over for us, we are now looking for possible stage results and breakaway options.
A large group of 16 riders formed the breakaway, most notably Jumbo-Visma’s Robert Gesink. Over the top of the last categorized climb, 6 riders were left with 3’51” to the pack and 51 km to the line. Sadly, we had no rider in the group.
The breakaway was never caugh, and the stage was won by Mauro Finetto (DELKO).
Our Niklas Larsen had absolutely brilliant legs today, the only one of us able to hang on to the favorite group. He came 9th losing 1’17. The rest of us lost 8 or more minutes.
Niklas Larsen with a fine result today
