Didn't know there was a McNulty clone
Schmid was pretty much the obvious choice after Laurens stole Küng. Would have loved to get Covi (without d ^^), but was pretty sure Nemo would go for him. Chose Rota over Masnada, because I suppose the latter will do more stage races, and Rota will have more classics. And I'm pretty happy about Champoussin, too.
Pretty happy with the team so far, don't even know right now who I could still pick in the next 3 rounds
No objection to the change of calendar.

Round 12 is always interesting to see where people went with their choices. TMM's betrayal was obvious
Betrayal? I had no choice but to pick a Brit, or did i misunderstand the round?

No I just meant that your 4 British picks the round before made your team British instead of Belgian.

Ah, well the fake betrayal was picking Belgium over UK to begin with, so it was all a long-planned double cross

Happy with that round. Went for a lot of cobblers early on, so I needed to fill out with more puncheurs/climbers. McNulty was the obvious pick. I've been surprised by his ability in hilly classics because I originally imagined him as more of a diesel stage racer due to his size, but if he keeps it up, he'll get some results in classics, especially where Pog isn't there.
Bardet and Chaves were two big names who have fallen off in recent years, but less so than I think people imagined. Bardet is iffy to ride the Ardennes, but he was top 10 in Lombardia and has actually ridden a few of the cobbled classics the last couple of years, doing pretty well at it too. Chaves was top 10 in Fleche and top 15 in Liege last year too. Not sure if EF will help or restrict his chances though, since they have Valgren and now Powless as well.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Shouldn't this time have been until Round 14?
I have no real objections against the calendar change, but I have to say that I made some of my choices based on the prior calendar.
Is there any reason why Dwars door Vlaanderen is not on the calendar? |

As said in my post, I cut it back to 13 so Nemolito can get another first pick.
You have a valid point about the races, altough I would only be adding races, not removing them.
And somehow I completely missed Dwars Door Vlaanderen, I always intented it to be on the calendar. So I would really like to change the calendar now, with everyone's permission.
Instead or block 3 and block 4 with extra block added:
Ronde van Drenthe
Nokere Koerse
Milano - Turino
Classic Loire Atlantique
GP Denain
GP Cholet-Pays de la Loire
Bredene Koksijde Classic
Milano - San Remo
Brugge - De Panne Classic
E3 Harelbeke
Gent - Wevelgem
Dwars Door Vlaanderen

Ah sorry missed that!
It's more that I picked riders based on the block with the smaller races that got split up now, but it's not too important anyways. Calendar looks good to me! |

So we'll go for that new calendar in post #72 then. Reminder that the deadline is in 24 hours, feel free to send in a new list if the calendar change would affect this.

Draft R14-16
The final rounds were weird, some people got their first 3 picks or close to it without a problem, while others had to go way down their list because I got some very similar PM's.
| Bikex Bald Beagles | BBL's Bombers | Jaxika Hussars | Laurens147 Hornets | Marcovdw Bananas | TMM's Roughnecks | Fab's Fainthearts | Roturn's Lemmings | Ollfardh Paladins | Nemolito Pacifiers | R14 | Marc Sarreau | Fernando Gaviria | Diego Ulissi | Gerben Thijssen | Dorian Godon | Max Walscheid | Zdenek Stybar | Simon Clarke | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Sergio Higuita | R15 | Vincenzo Nibali | Richard Carapaz | Kobe Goossens | Julien Simon | Ryan Gibbons | Sven Erik Bystrom | Heinrich Haussler | Jens Reynders | Mark Padun | Cees Bol | R16 | Kevin Geniets | Jack Haig | Benjamin Thomas | Pierre-Luc Perichon | Ben Hermans | Adrien Petit | Samuele Battistella | Jordi Warlop | Laurens De Plus | Brent Van Moer |
With that the draft in concluded. The full teams as well as the updated calendar are on the first page. I'll make a preview for the first race round later today.
PS: If anyone with PCM has a bit of free time, it would be cool if there are some screenshots of the teams.

Happy with the picks, as they were indeed my top-3. Really needed another sprinter and I believe Cees Bol is a solid option, although he might not be attending too many races on 'our' calendar. Van Moer on the other hand will attend a lot of them, but don't know how he will perform. Might have been more tactical to find another Frenchie for some of those C1/2 races, but really couldn't think of anyone anymore.
In general still some strong names being drawn, but with many of them the problem might also be them not attending many of the classics. Stybar is a nice pick though I think, who could still score big in all the cobbled classics.

Considering making an early block for the Opening Weekend as I am not sure how much time I will have and with 10 provisional starters in Omloop, no chance to get them all anyway.
If I have time later this week with a more proper startlist, I might send you an update.
Roturn's Lemmings
Nils Politt
Primoz Roglic
Pierre Latour
Andrea Pasqualon
John Degenkolb
Jordi Warlop
Simon Clarke
Baptiste Planckaert
Are there btw any rules that all riders need to ride at least 1 block?
Or a maximum number of blocks? This would obviously have a big impact on my decision as well. |

No, you have complete freedom for your selection. I did think about such rules, but it would overcomplicate things.
