Well they didn't look quite good at this year's Tour so they definitely need to change something and bounce back so they probably feel like it's time to change generations.
G will probably never go to the Tour again since he himself said he doesn't want to be a helper. Porte also said this will be his last shot at a GC in the Tour. And only Bernal and Carapaz are proven Grand Tour riders. The others while promising still have to prove themselves they are worthy of the captain role.
But yeah, the team looks scary.

That is true, yes. My comment is partially that INEOS might be burning some of the potential of their riders which could flourish more if they rode somewhere else with more freedom. But it’s pure speculation, let’s see what this refurbished team does next year. Plus, they have Pidcock now which can probably perform well in any terrain. |

Is Porte already riding now for Ineos after the Worlds? On the instagram of both Trek and Porte it sounds like Tour was his last race for the team. If so, then I must say that those inter-season transfers are very annoying and should not become industry standard.

Porte will just join them in 2021, possibly Tour Down Under but with the pandemic restrictions maybe the race won’t even start (at least in January). I don’t think he will ride again this year after the Worlds though. |

In one of the weirdest switches yet, very talented sprinter Szymon Sajnok joins Cofidis (I guess to lead out Viviani, but I think Sajnok has a higher ceiling). They also signed Ruben Fernandez. Very interesting teambuilding by Cofidis here, they sign loads of good guys but I don't really see a concept yet.

Something weird is going on at Androni or with Gianni Savio, but in less than a month both Filippo Conca and Kevin Colleoni, which had signed contracts (allegedly) with the team have been confirmed at Lotto-Soudal and Mitchelton for 2021...? |

Chris Lawless signs for Total Direct Energie in what I think is a wtf move.

EDIT: Boasson Hagen also on his way to the French squad.

Can't wait to see him chase Mas to bring Valverde back only to see Erviti as their best finisher!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Great deal, Superman will fit perfectly into the antics of the Movistar soap opera. Can't wait for the next netflix season.

Beware... Savio’s got the new Roglic (with a bit of Bernal) in the making.

Sounds like an unicorn: spanish cross-country skier. Savio knows his stuff, hopefully he is right. Wonder why Movistar didn't sign him.
Bad side: The dude will have the worst riding skills in the peloton ever seen. Even Remco will look like Salvodelli compares to.this guy. They will basically have to have a circle.of.riders around him, similar to Pantani back in the day.

MAL will work great for Movistar team classification ambitions in GTs. |

A lot of interesting Spanish guys in: Also Javier Romo signed for Astana, the Current u23 ITT champ of Spain was fully committed to Triathlon at least until 2016 and now got a pro contract. He is managed my Acquardo though, so thats why he didn't sign with Movistar.
Yeah I think it'll take years to adjust for Vigo del Arco. Remember Rogla raced at Adria Mobil for a couple of years before rising to the highest level. I guess they need to be patient with him, especially in terms of bike handling skills. In Germany there is a rower as well, Jason Osbourne I guess, that is top class in all the Swift races so has great watts, but can't compete in a normal bike race. This is as much of a boom-or-bust-project as it gets.
