Looking at the current Tour de France squads and noticed Emmanuel Buchmann is absent from Bora’s lineup, does anyone know if he’s targeting Vuelta GC?
According to Frankfurter Allgemeine:
Der frühere deutsche Meister Emanuel Buchmann ist als Anführer für das Team bei der Vuelta gesetzt. An der Tour nimmt er nicht teil. Statt Helferaufgaben für Majka in Frankreich zu verrichten, soll Buchmann einen Monat später in Spanien erstmals mit dem Druck eines Leaders bei einer großen Rundfahrt umgehen lernen.
The former German champion has been assigned the leader position for la Vuelta. He won't participate in Le Tour. Instead of providing help for Majka in France, he'll have to learn how to handle the pressure of being a team leader in a GT for the first time, one month later in Spain.
Thanks. It's what I thought. Should be an interesting rider to follow in the Vuelta, then, possible top-10 contender. |

Bahrain-Merida made an official offer on Wout van Aert. While not unexpected after his great season, it would make a huge difference for both rider and current team. I'm not sure the concept of cyclocross will be known in Bahrain, and without van Aert it will just be a boring Mathieu fest all season long. It would also be a huge shame for van Aert if he won't be able to do cyclocross anymore like Stybar and Boom.
For Veranda's Willlems-Crelan, it would be the end of the team most likely. They've been horribly crap the last years and it was mostly their cyclocross duo van Aert/Merlier having to save the day for them. Losing Van Aert will probably make them lose sponsors.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's a double-face news, surely he can improve his career between road pro cycling (and his fame) but this brings all those negatives facts you listed...btw I think that soon or later this will happen, so Bahrain-Merida donesn't want to be anticipate by other teams

Some nice news around Petr Vakoč, recovering from the terrible injury he suffered in January after car hit them in traing. He is now without shell to protect the broken vertebrae and started to ride the bike more frequently. He was a "test rider" during Czech NCs and feels pretty well accoring to his words. He should train now with his teammates in Italy and hopes that we will see him race during late season, be it September or October.

Silvio Herklotz had a borreliosis, Lennard Kämna is "re-orientating his long-term goals" after a spring full of illnesses and "many things coming together".
Why does the universe hate me in particular.

I though that you were doing renewals while high for way too long
