Close to the stage victory, but I'll take third for Úran. I still hope he can win but a GC podium is absolutely a satisfying result.

Bad sprinting result from Lecuisinier here, but he is very aggressive, and if he stays like that I'll be very happy. It is the only possible way to win this race. Beating Wellens will be almost impossible though. He is at the same level in the hills, and when he suddenly outsprints Lecuisinier on 2 occassions it's unlikely to make that up.
Only chance is to get a lucky split between him and Wellens or making some sort of co-operation with Herklotz on the final mountain stage.
I do, however, think that Wellens have the sufficient amount of domestiques around him to get the win. Cort and Lövkvist are better than what we have brought here, with just Vasyliv level, and Koretzky seems to think of his own results instead. If Koretzky and Lecuisinier can somehow make a double-attack on the hilly stage we might cause some havok.
No matter what it is really interesting to have Lecuisinier within a shot at actually winning a race. I hope it will be the first of many...

Typical for Vasyliv... He and Novak just can't sit in the top 20 without losing a lot of time. So much for a good secondary GC and U25.

Hats off to the leadout of Irvine & Kreder, they made it an easy 2nd win for Cav, and I thought that was where we would struggle, got a lot to learn obviously.
Tartarinov had a great day out in the mountains, unlike Kiserlovski who had a bad day coming in after lieutenant Hirschlein. Hope he can bounce back into the top 20 or perhaps he is saving himself for the Tour of America?
Thanks for the reports Aquarius.

Shame to see him implode near the end, but a second and fourth place makes for a great race for CAM so far!

Nice work by Veyhe in the break, exactly the sort of racing I want to see from our guys!
Also, Morkov decided he was interested in the sprint, only 20th but great to see him try something.
Thanks Aquarius for the great coverage!

Looks like my boys almost tried some kind of half-hearted leadout for Manninen. Guess he should go back to grabbing a spot on one of the big trains instead...

Stage 3 with Mutsumine was good, and Yamamoto doing pretty decently on stage 2. Gilanipoor getting 5th on Stage 4 is amazing though. Yamamoto is continually punching above his weight in the sprints here too, great job by him.

The last two stages were good by the team.
Oliver climbing into top10 stage and GC on the climb while Van der Hoorn went into the break on the flat stage since Bauhaus is not seen as sprinter here.
Next stage hopefully a bit better for Olivier as the first hilly one and then onto the mountain stage to defend the position.
Thanks for the reports so far and looking forward to the next ones. |

Again, minimising the loss for Úran. Can he claw back 50 seconds to Wellens/Lecuisinier? Maybe, but I'm already happy with a GC podium.

Ohh. That's a very nice result for us!
Obviously winning a stage was the only reason for bringing Koretzky, so actually doing so is nice.
But Lecuisinier gaining time, and now within touch of the win is very very nice. Wellens will still be extremely difficult to overtake, and the gaps are so small, that anyone with a good day tomorrow would still be likely to win, but in terms of the top 3 GC that was a wonderful result.
Let's hope that Lecuisinier can stay very active and make the best of things. Also Vasyliv with a decent result. A real pity that he lost 3 minutes, as he would have elseway been 18th at this point.

I cannot be happy with a second place when Silvio fucks up again. How the hell do you lose half a minute there.
Nerz awful again. If Kelderman can't keep his GC position somehow, that'll be way too few points from the GC regardless of where Herklotz finishes. At least we should try and win the teams classification.

Kelderman is 21 spots better in the GC than Koretzky and still performing well on stages, while Herklotz is fighting for a podium. I'm pretty certain, that in terms of points you shouldn't be too unhappy with the depth performance.

Think we did it good by letting those punchers fight for the win instead of chasing them but Wellens raterh with ACC maybe was the reason loosing time to Lecuisinier on this stage. But no disaster yet, but it is only 1 min down to being outside podium and even top 4.
Next stage will be very nervous Im bagging that Wellens having a good day.
Wellens to stay at the podium atleast and Lövkvist, Cort Nielsen both in top 30 after that stage would be good. |

Gilanipoor is really hanging in there well! If he can hold 7th, that would be an amazing result for him. Great for Mutsumine to reclaim the KOM lead too.

Meh. Kelderman does replace Nerz in depth, but meh.
Par for the course doesn't cut it anymore this season. Portugal needs to be a stunner.
