I am definately not pre-ordering(nobody should), but I could see myself buying it, when the db comes out. They said that the AI will improve, pacelines look interesting...I wanted that feature since PCM 10.
But yeah, I'll have to see.
@Avin: "Voting with your wallet" doesn't really work on small devs. They will then just cut that game completely. They need that money of that game to survive, whilst big companies like EA are also starting to cut off the games, when they don't bring the money(sadly).
No problem for me, better not issue any game than same broken shit every year, i hope more of you will realize it. When you released last good game in series in 2011, no need to continue really...
Since I have around 330h clocked in Steam with PCM 16, I tend to disagree. I enjoy that game every year.
Good for you, you have every right to enjoy the game and i can only admire that, i am not such a masochist though.
PCM is an everyday ritual for me, but the game in reality isn't amazing, although not bad either. Not going to lie, I have at least 1200 - 1500 hours on PCM in the last year.

Why a masochist?
I can undestand, that the game has it's flaws and it could be sooo much better, but I just love playing it(not every day, but often enough)

Hopefully the game can improve even more!
That means you're playing over 4h every day, without a single day of rest.

I don't get this "paceline" thing- how is it different to relay?
I believe it's designed to make a train with your team and your team only. With relay other teams can put in a rider, with the paceline you can put all of your own riders in the positions you want them to, just like in a sprinttrain.
At least, i hope that's what it means hahaha.
So in that case it would f.e. be usefull to put good FL riders in front with your best climbers behind when approaching a climb. The FL riders pull you towards the climb, putting your leaer in a good spot and the good climbers take over when climbing, one by one in the order YOU put them
Or in windy stages, very usefull for making echelons, leader in the last wheel so he uses the least energy f.e.
Ah so it's not just about setting pace at the front of the Peloton!
If the protect thing worked I wouldn't be too bothered with that

I dont understand what is new with that?? In PCM16 you can do the train by protect-chain. Even 3 years ago you can do this: https://i.imgur.co...
So this is old foot in new shoe. I'm only interested in one thing: is back finish sprint slow motion or not. If not, I definitely will not buy it, no matter what else. They will back with slow-mo in PCM 18 and this will be Great New Feature i guess...

The protect chain isn't avalable in PCM16 because :you" can only protect one rider, another rider can't protect "you". As I know slow motion is in PCM 16 at the finish sprint, if I remember good.

The protect chain was available until PCM 16's second patch so it's possible that tellico might not have 'updated the game to the final patch'.

Or 5 hours a day and 65 days of rest
Or 62 days 24h, without a break, then 12h on the next day and then 302 days of rest.

No, it is not. https://www.youtu...Ac2IdOKxmE - 2016, you need still pausing game, slow mo starts just few meters before the line, atmosphere is dead https://www.youtu...Mo3FMz5Bko - 2015, slow mo starts 3km before the line, you can easily manage riders withoust stopping game every 2 sec
I remember my first sprint finish win and that was one of the coolest moments in my video games career. I will never understand why to take two steps forward they always have to take a step backwards.
I'm freaking out with ur replies. The decission to buy he game is only based if the sprint is in slow motion or if pace mode is improved? I think the most important factor should be the IA to get more realistic game, and another branches of the manager mode like SCHEDULES/TRAINING PROGRAMS really affects the riders, CONTRACTS, SIGNS, etc..
And there is a very important thing I can't understand nobody reclaim: in a breakway if I don't relay they tell me I have to but if they don't I can't do it or a really interactuation with the others riders, etc, etc, etc.

Sal a entrenar cuando te apetezca, y si quieres mejorar hazlo cuando no te apetezca.

And I'm freaking when I see that they remove or destroy thing that works fine and nobody wants to touch this (e.g slow-mo, mountain profile window in corner, observing the oponent, etc). I'm accustomed and reconciled that new features dont work at all or in best case dont work properly until next version or maybe until last patch.
Pre-orders are usually delivered the day before the official release date to allow you to pre-download the game, but there's absolutely no guarantee for it.
Releasedate is 15th of June, so they will release it before tomorrowevening 23:59.. But again, no guarantee ofcourse
I was lucky enough to get the game early thanks to the great guys at Cyanide. In this video I will show you my first race on PCM 17 and I will express my first thoughts on the game.
