Podium
1) Rui Costa
2) Ilnur Zakarin
3) Tom Dumoulin
A very low scoring race for our participants at Abu Dhabi. The pre-race favourites, Contador, Nibali, Quintana and Aru did not get involved in the final shake down up to the summit on stage 3, settling for the minor placements. Three participants returned home empty handed from this race, the highest zero scores for a single race so far this season!
A combined total of just two picks were made for the podium finishers. Selwink went for Dumoulin while Marco showed some of last year's championship winning form to pick Rui Costa - an inspired choice. Emre, Jandal and Abhishek were the only others to pick up points, as all of them had predicted a Cavendish stage win.
The leader-board will be updated with the combined scores from Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Stay tuned...

Podium
1) Greg van Avermaet
2) Peter Sagan
3) Sep Vanmarcke
As if to make up for the low scoring in Abu Dhabi, the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was a high scoring affair with just a single zero score and even a new PCM Daily member joining the game. A warm welcome to Squire for his first involvement in the Grand High Wizard Contest. Unfortunately, the last two facts turned out to be associated to the same member! Oh well, one only gets better with experience
We also saw our first perfect podium prediction for this season. Emre takes that honour, the double points for that honour and the win in this race, with a total of 70 points! Him missing the bonus makes it just short of a perfect score. Selwink is also just a third place prediction away from a perfect round, but takes second place in this round with 50 points. Defending champion Marcovdw had a bad round, picking up only 5 points while Croatia managed to score points for the first time since the Tour Down Under.
The table now looks like this:
Name | Races Entered | Bonuses | Total Points | emre99 | 4 | 40 | 130 | Selwink | 4 | 40 | 115 | AbhishekLFC | 4 | 60 | 115 | jandal7 | 4 | 60 | 110 | purepasd | 4 | 40 | 100 | Raziz | 4 | 20 | 100 | Marcovdw | 4 | 20 | 85 | Croatia14 | 4 | 20 | 40 | Squire | 1 | | 0 | Luxemburger | 1 | | 0 |
Emre makes a massive jump from the middle of the pack to first place. Selwink jumps up to tied second as he too climbs a handful of places. Jandal and purepasd are the big losers, falling out of the top 3 while it's tough going for our holder Marco so far. Croatia's eccentric picks keep him bottom of our points-scorers.
