Nice. The small-big-small worked well this time.
Reached the next round already, which is good. |

Looks like it could be a great fight for the group title between roturn and I. Bring it on |

Of course you can.
If the other one uses 3 - 6 - 11 for example. |

Already certain of going to the quarter finals:
weirdskyfan64
roturn
Already certain of not going through:

Anything can still happen. Though for some a small miracle is necessary.
With an equal amount of points, I look at their match first (so if player 1 and player 2 score 5 points each, the winner of the match between player 1 and 2 gets the edge), if they drawed, I look at won games, then won sets. If nothing else, flip a damn coin |

If they drew and won games was the same, wouldn't won sets be as well
Seems like a good system though, for knockout shave you considered a best of three system, then draws would still be possible but much rarer?

Statistically, 7-7-6, 7-6-7 and 6-7-7 will give you the highest chance of victory

Well obviously this round didn't work out the way i hoped it would
Now I have to hope for some assistance, as it's not in my own hands anymore.

Group A
lakebeach | vs | spilak23 | 2 | | 8 | 8 | | 4 | 10 | | 8 | | | | dubbeldekker | vs | thobe96 | 9 | | 1 | 2 | | 12 | 9 | | 7 |
In Group A, everyone still had a good chance to go on to the Quarter Finals. Lakebeach played it safe and got his victory by taking the last two sets.
Dubbeldekker played another tactics against thobe, by only losing 2 points to thobe's 12 in set 2, he managed to take sets 1 and 3 relatively easily. The two winners of today advance to the next round. Lakebeach as group winner with 5 points, the lowest points for a group leader in the game, though.
Group B
marcovdw | vs | Croatia14 | 14 | | 6 | 0 | | 14 | 6 | | 0 | | | | jaxika | vs | jandal7 | 6 | | 0 | 13 | | 13 | 1 | | 7 |
Croatia needed a small miracle to continue to the Quarter Finals and that miracle didn't come. Marcovdw outfoxed him in three sets. Though Croatia sets the biggest set win so far in the game, 14 to 0.
And so Jaxika had to win, too, in order to progress. Setting 13 points on set 2 was a mistake, though, as it took the game to a draw. Jandal wins this group and Marcovdw is runner-up.
Group C
Luxemburger | vs | Vali | 10 | | 12 | 10 | | 1 | 0 | | 7 | | | | roturn | vs | jihardy | 10 | | 9 | 10 | | 2 | 0 | | 9 |
Luxemburger decided to go aggressive and put a 10-10-0 formation in the field. Vali, however, took the first set by 12 points. He only needed one point in set 3 to go on to win the game and he did just that, with 0-7 in set 3. So now Vali has 3 points, same as jihardy, unless jihardy would win or draw...
But he couldn't do a thing against a ruthless Roturn. With the same approach as Luxemburger, Roturn took his third victory in three matches, winning the group with formidable statistics: only 1 set lost, 8 points.
And so Jihardy and Vali share equal points. So who progresses? Looking back at match day 1, the two drew against each other. So we look towards won sets. Jihardy won one set in the opening match, two in match day 2 and none today. Vali took 1 in the opening match, only 1 in match day 2 but 2 today. It's 3 against 4, so Vali is with the best 8 of the game!
Group D
Mresuperstar | vs | weirdskyfan64 | 0 | | 12 | 9 | | 8 | 11 | | 0 | | | | trekbmc | vs | SportingNonsense | 10 | | 0 | 1 | | 10 | 9 | | 10 |
Mresuperstar needed at least 3 points to progress in this game, so he needed to win in 2 sets. Contrarily to that logic, though, he went with 0 - 9 - 11. Weirdskyfan put 12 on his first set, in the belief Mre would try to take that one by storm. Set 2 was won with 9-8 by Mre and he also took the final set. He won the match, but is now left with 2 points and unable to continue in the game.
And so trekbmc needed to beat SportingNonsense to continue. He took the opening set easily, but wasted 10 points. SN took set 2 easily and picked up the remaining set. SN wins in 3 sets and progresses in the game.
And so, this is the result of the game's group stage:
Group A | | | | | | | | | Player | MP | MW | ML | MD | SW | SL | SD | Points | lakebeach | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 5 | dubbeldekker | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 4 | spilak23 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 4 | 5 | 0 | 2 | thobe96 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 4 | 5 | 0 | 2 | | | | | | | | | | Group B | | | | | | | | | Player | MP | MW | ML | MD | SW | SL | SD | Points | jandal7 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 5 | 2 | 1 | 6 | marcovdw | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 5 | jaxika | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 4 | 1 | 4 | Croatia14 | 3 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 6 | 0 | 0 | | | | | | | | | | Group C | | | | | | | | | Player | MP | MW | ML | MD | SW | SL | SD | Points | roturn | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 8 | Vali | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 4 | 1 | 3 | jihardy | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 4 | 1 | 3 | Luxemburger | 3 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 6 | 0 | 0 | | | | | | | | | | Group D | | | | | | | | | Player | MP | MW | ML | MD | SW | SL | SD | Points | weirdskyfan64 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 5 | 2 | 0 | 6 | SportingNonsense | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 3 | 0 | 5 | trekbmc | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 5 | 0 | 2 | Mresuperstar | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 5 | 0 | 2 |

You can now send in your Match results by pm.
However, since a draw cannot be allowed in the knock-out stage, additional tactics are required. Thus you must send in three sets of tactics. If the first match ends in a draw, it is replayed with the second set of tactics. Same to the third. If the third should also be a draw, the winner is decided by a
1. the rock-paper-scissor
2. coin toss
So you should now send in:
Match 4
Set 1: x points
Set 2: x points
Set 3: x points
Set 1: x points
Set 2: x points
Set 3: x points
Set 1: x points
Set 2: x points
Set 3: x points
Extra: Rock/Paper/Scissor (select one)
You can also send in your sheets for the future games, but that's optional.
Deadline: 22/12/2015 at 08:00 GMT +1 time.
Good luck! |

Thanks for playing, guys. Sad to see you go but only half can progress at this point.
Only 3 match days remain, now. Hope to see you again if this kicks off for a 2nd season (with perhaps 32 players if possible!) |

Had to be 0-10-10 again after we both played that in Round 1! Great that it actually worked this time

Thought you might do that but I couldn't afford a tie.
In hindsight I should have gone less than 10 in the first round but in hindsight it's easy.
Congrats on making it through though, I'll support you as you winning now will make me feel better.
