Great win indeed, but its a shame for Bjørndalen as he most likely would've won if they had raced under the same conditions. 
Atleast he got some sort of a revenge in the mass start. Beating the german star on the line for 3rd!

Quite a shocker seeing this live indeed, didnt expect such a tense second round.
Impressive the way Hirscher finished his final round without any hesitating after the fail by the drone. Surely he must have noticed such a noise right behind.
In other news, norway continue their amazing form in Alpint, with wins in each disipline.
Kristoffersen is a huge, huge talent winning the two latest slalom races with over 1 second each. Austria also performing with new prospects, Marco Schwarz with a huge second round to climb from 16th to 3rd, surely not the last we see from the 20 year old.

Yeah quite a good race. Eder completely screwed it up though for Austria, great stuff by Hauser tho.
Also, another sweet victory for Lara Gut in Lienz. I made easy bucks by making a bet with dad that Ana Drev would crash out in the second run, well well.. Girl was way to nervous during the waiting period.

Today was the qualification on Oberstdorf of the 4Hills Tournament.
Schlieri is terrible.I wonder if he will ever get back to his old form.
Peter Prevc is the biggest favourite to win the tournament though something in me tells that Hayboeck or Kraft will win.Rooting for Simon Ammann though. |

I think Schlieri is a new Goldberger (or Peterka) - after great seasons at beginning of career, he was jumping terrible and he retired after some bad seasons. I'm happy for good Kasai's jump, I wish that Stoch can't fight for places in top 10 and Żyła will face with Freund in one of pairs.

Yeah Schlieri was disappointing today, very to say the least. I hope this was due to his long pause and he'll have better jumps saved for tomorrow. I'll be at Bergisel at (our) home hill on sunday, I hope by then he'll have some good jumps for us. It'll a.. uh cauldron (Hexenkessel?) on sunday, guaranteed. Guy needs to prove he's a champion, not such a guy who won a lot. Bad years are part of this sport, Kasai endured decades without success.
Hayboeck and Kraft I also rate as our best chances. It's unlikely that Austria continues this amazing streak at the 4HillsTournament but we have said this the last two years too, and still one of our guys won it.. I still don't know where Diethard came from Hayboeck and Kraft are in-form so we'll have someone to root for too, although Prevc is amazing right now; he could well go home with 4 wins.. Then we'd be finally free of yearly Sven Hannawald reprise in media.

Crazy downhill in Santa Caterina. Bad sight and tough surface caused many drop outs, and Innerhofer probably did a ride for the ages by going into a flag and still finishing 4th.. Amazing performance by Theaux, level above the others.

I pray for an non-Austrian win - they've held the monopoly far too long. Time for change.
Honestly Peter Prevc is the favorite, but IMO we should watch out not for him, but for his baby brother Domen |
