I didn't really understand if there are several generic helmet brands or just one, if there is a Specialized one by any chance, that would be my preferred choice.

Hoping to get an answer to this question. If not I'll probably end up uploading a generic Catlike helmet to be used by my team, but if it's possible to just choose it then that's obviously easier for everyone...

As I understand it, the amount of available helmet brands will depend on how many slots the frames and wheels use up.
So that question can't be answered until all teams have selected their frames and wheels.

Ok, thanks for the answer.
Would have preferred helmets on higher priority than wheels since they have a bigger role trying to spot your riders on screenshots though.

Basically, it's because one slot can contain frames and wheels for the same brand.
But helmets are only available in a slot of their own.
That's cya-logic for you.
So if a team has all custom frames and wheels they will only take one slot, and perhaps some of the listed frame/wheel choices can be combined too, to increase slot availability.
I imagine there will be some form of choice available for helmets eventually. But ultimately, so long as they are autocoloured it should help for rider identification in screenshots, whatever the brand may be.

Believe me that I will try and get as much out of the limited space  Custom wheels aren't frequent and at current pace some helmets will be included SN is right that wheels doesn't take as much space as helmets, so it all depends on how many custom wheels there is at the end
A lot of teams are still left to submit their equipment and I cannot say on how many helmets will be included
