Think it can be confirmed that we are relegated to CT, even if it was mathematically possible we don't have the team to do it. PCT has been a steep learning curve though and I hope to bounce back next season, we were however a mid table CTteam when we were offered promotion.

Update with Paris Tours, Yekaterinburg and Emilia.
Venchi move ahead of Bacardi to 4th, while Gazelle are closing fast on Jaguar. Metinvest move past one inactive team in Magna, and now have eyes on another in Repsol, for that final Top 10 position.
Amex, Meiji and Puma all moved up the standings and could all still enter the Top 10 too - particularly if the Tour du Faso goes their way. FCB Polska's C2 trip moves them ahead of Karcher.
Hornbach have now pulled out a lead of 101 on Boeing for that final relegation position.

With Clasico RCN in full flow we already have some indication of this table will change further, but for now we can see that the Russian classic benefited Risa and Bank of Ireland, since both gained a position in the tough Top 10 fight.
Further down we can see that their performance in Philadelphia helped Eddie Stobart climb two positions to 21st.

*sigh* Still possible to survive. Still got the rider to do so in Thomas in Faso. Still performing above expectation in races. It's not over, it's not over... *sigh* Getting much tougher to keep this up... Keep digging. Keep pushing. Keep believing. And it will all be worth it in the end... Always that little bit more to give, just that little bit extra to make the difference... *sigh* please...

Good luck TMM to pass Hornbach.
We are in pretty much the same situation. Almost impossible to avoid relegation but still having small hopes.
Hope you can make it and beat this inactive team. |

Thanks for another update!
Looking good for 3rd now. Faso should bring us some points and so should Beijing/Japan.

We need a good Faso and I think we should also do well in the final Asian races. Would love a Top 10 at this point.

After all the talk about being promoted or not, it looks inevitable now. I'm not quite sure how to feel. Obviously I'm excited but at the same time my team is in no condition to compete at the Pro Tour level.
I've been brainstorming how to have a productive offseason to change that but I've haven't come up with a plan that I'm comfortable with. I don't want to overpay for a single climber, yet that seems like the only option I have that gives me a slim hope to stay in the division for longer than one season.
Perhaps time to do some more research to see if I can find a solution/loophole, this Pro Tour thing is a really nightmare. If any of you PT managers want to give up your superstars that are on reasonable wages then hit me up.

I hope (expect) we break the magical 1000 point barrier during Tour of Beijing. Other than that, there is not much looking forward to ranking wise |

It was a good season for us. Heineken achieved goals on goals, which is the first time my teams have panned out this well from a planning perspective.

Thanks for the update. We passed Magna and Repsol should be next soon, but i am really worried about Meiji, Amex and Puma coming from behind, maybe two of these teams can catch us.
Metinvest needs some more podiums from Hoffman in Faso and top10s from Raboň in Asian hilly races to try and stay there after catching Repsol, as they are almost without race days now.

The top 15 goal seems to be slipping at the last second. Probably need an actual miracle in Japan to manage it.

@mre: Bottom line is I am getting more and more sure that there will be 7 of you going up now.
Vueling, VW, Bouygues are dogpoo as well . So that leaves five from ten to go down imo:
:earn the lessons of ING and Prio don't overpay for some useless bastard.
Learn the lessons from Bpost, don't be unlucky with AI all year.
Learn the lessons of Rothaus don't buy Gomez Marchante.
Learn the lessons of Santander, don't have a team that will do sweet FA in 90% of the races!
Littered post with smilys as don't want to cause offence

Well in the past two seasons Tinkoff, Red Bull, Lotto, Pokerstars and Aker all managed to hit the PT Top 10 on the first attempt. Smowz in particular promoted with a team that would have been hopeless at PT!
It's kinda unavoidable that you have to sign a new team leader, if you want a chance to stay up. Smowz mentions Gomez Marchante and Machado - but without them those teams would be further into the relegation zone.

There should be quite some good riders available for the promoting teams, I'm actually looking trough last years transfers (and have made myself a db where I'm trying to keep track of coming free agents, had to do quite some editing when Cio came back :-p) and pretty much every leader was available at some point. You just have to find the right deals for you

I can`t agree.
Gomez Marchante definitely did pretty well this year with Top 5 Giro scoring.
Plus he was just a late backup when Pozzovivo went around 900k if I remember correct. The Italian surely would have been a stronger rider for me and also Cataldo got offered more than I was willing to pay for him.
I would add me a bit between your "dogpoo" teams and bad AI luck.
When my riders had tried a bit more breakaways I could be 2-3 spots above. |

If it comes to pass, back-to-back promotions by DD's Gazelle would be a pretty damn impressive achievement, chapeau even just for getting close!

Yeah, that helps.
Also I've found that trying to compete equally well on all terrains just has not been an effective tactic. I thought that having a rider for every terrain who could put me inside the top 10 in any given race would be a sure-fire way to stay up but it just hasn't worked out. After the top 3-5 riders in any given race it is just a crap-shoot to see who does well.

At the moment 6 teams will promote (5 relegating + Lotto), more teams will be decided by SN's inactivity hammer. And I guess there are some teams living dangerously there.
Best case in many ways are to kick out inactive managers and promote active ones, If so I see two teams that should be scared...
