That is the race done, so much for the strange theory that sprinters, through bonus seconds, would have affected the GC.
Yes, I should have put the flat stat in the preview ...... we had four flat stages before the TT ...... Besides, a flat TT should be affected by the flat stat.
Another win for OZ, that is some kind of record.
Thanks for the good words, especially Avin, Shame for him that Ignatiev must have had a bad day on stage 5, after being the most prominent GC finisher on the first four stages. |

Thanks for the reports, Rider! Very good work/pace at the moment!
Rogers Definitely having a better season than last year, this old man. Great to see him taking stage and overall, our second GC-win this season. Ford struggled as expected, but 1-7 in GC is fine enough. Too bad Goss was a non-factor in the sprints..
Ignatiev having the worst moment for a bad day. 5th is kinda shocker for Avin, even though Ma added a nice result.

Well that went okay I guess. Top 15 in the GC and a couple stage wins. Congrats to OZ again.....
Will be nice to hopefully contest races like this next year with Kwok for a top 5/10.

Fantastic ride by Tennant, 2nd is beyond expectations. He seems to be really stepping up in the big races this year, just as I was tempted to sell him
But wow, really disappointing for Avin and Ignatiev. I was hoping he would win this one, but not even close.
Very surprising performance by Meier for RBC to do so well

Hello Continental Tour! I cant see Metinvest staying in PCT now.
Thanks for the reports Rider, great pace and style. Congrats to Oz, they trashed us in every single possible TT this year like little children.
Ma in top 10 is nice ,but that is barely any consolation with overwhelming favourite coming 5th. Zmorka 33rd with 77 tt stat and Ford even worse? Daily form has to be so overpowered hidden stat in TT that it is not even funny anymore.

3rd for Reus is pretty impressive. Really feel he should have beaten Tennant though, but I came here aiming for 5th so I'll take it. Missed the win goal, but it was a near miss in a HC race so I'm not too upset. Mazur a little underwhelming, but Nugara and Goldstein impressive. No more filler races for us now so the turnaround begins
Thanks for the reports Rider, made a race that could have been dull a really good read!

@Avin: Michael Ford didn't finish worse than Zmorka though 8th on the stage, which ain't exactly great, but where i expected him to be (Meier as the biggest surprise there).. A shame Ignatiev sucked.. You know, i would have gladly see him winning now. Let's hope for a succesfull Bayern Tour then!

Oh, i messed him with William Ford.
Even worse for Zmorka then, they probably both had abyssmal form with Ignatiev in this stage.
Thanks for the nice words, but i fear both Bayern and Britain will be another Ignatiev failure, as he should loose time in hilly stages and hardly can claw it back in TT as we can see. Maybe only with good daily form and that is too random, so i am already planning for CT (which sucks, with half of my team being lvl 3 and lvl4 talents that need PT or at least PCT racing).
Anyway, who is planning to have Ignatiev for 2015? we can finally see how much he is worth in free agency

As expected OZ to destroy the competition. Shame Ignatiev is not equal to what is able to do, Avin will suffer for it.
As to my team, things did not go wrong. Might have expected more from the triple Kupfernagel / Davis / Silvestre, but the final top10 from Barth with points earned by Silvestre in general and youth classification, help make this a good race for us. 13 PPRD is one of the best performance of recent times.
And as usual thank's for the great reports The Rider

You still managed to get 212 points from the race, so I wouldn't give up hope just yet!

WOW! I never in a million years expected that Meier has put in a great ride there never imagined we'd get more then 20 PPRD here, really happy with this team's performance looking forward to a run of races with Bellis leading this could hopefully be a real run of points for the team. |

Yes yet another big win for Oz Cycling - who despite a complete no show from Goss will still have done pretty well from this race.
I do get what people are saying about the sprint competition it was really hot here. The modern style of racing also is to have the chrono at the end so to keep the suspense (of course this race really was for the chrono guys!)
Ignatiev was poor - not sure if he could really been odds on to beat Rogers but the others? Still don't forget Avin just how completely rubbish some of those teams down the bottom end of the rankings actually are - several managers pointing out they got the dreaded anonymous nil point here! Even a low rate Ignatiev performance is still going to get something.
Must say will be watching Indonesia chrono with much interest!

Stage 1:
This is the kind of train I was expecting more often throughout the season! Giaux proving we indeed needed the direct replacement for Kvist in that swap.
Stage 2:
Giaux! Kinda fucking up Ciolek's chances by not leading him out properly, but this reminded me of Qatar 2013 (if anyone remembers) where Kvist massively overperformed.
Stage 3:
lolwut. Ciolek OP pls nerf!
Stage 4/5/GC:
Well statistically, you have to accept those kind of sprints as well of course.
No biggie, two stage wins and points jersey secured makes the initially 50-50 decision whether to send Ciolek to a race he normally can't win overall a very very very good decision.
Also the train work here makes me really happy and definitely supports my strategy of having enough good sprinters around to always have a competitive lineup around Ciolek (and one day Demare) no matter daily forms or profiles.
