Rather disappointing stage result but 19th in the GC and 4 riders between 35th and 45th at least mans points. Hopefully we can have a good stge 5.

As expected, sitting 4th which is very decent along the stage win already, only a minute back though, hopefully we can sneak a podium tomorrow. However maintaining 4th is really the main goal.
Great TT report!

If it goes as well as the previous 3 for us, sure
Gadret 14th on the stage, Maillet 14th overall. Good so far from us, just got to keep it up on the final stage - hopefully we'll infiltrate the break as well. |

A bit of an odd result in the TT there - this race really not proving too predictable, but is great to follow.

Anything in the top 5 will do for Janez. Very interesting reports as always!

Wait, somebody returned to me the old Popovych who can ride mountains?
Obviously great result for Popo where his TT helped, big shame about that 2nd stage, where he lost all the chances for decent GC (no, 20th place is not decent GC). Hopefully he will bring the good form into the last stgae and earn a spot or two in GC.
Thanks for the report Tsmoha, you are incredible!

Yet another new leader! Thinking that we may get a small elite group to come to finish in the final brutal looking stage. It could also suit a breakaway, could be hard to organise a chase - then again the climbs could make it difficult for the break to form properly.
Great to read - tsmoha is amazing!

This is starting to become to exiting. The points competition seems secured, but the lead in the GC is really just cosmetic. There is at least three riders to watch out for on the last stage, and I won’t rule out a long attack from Intxausti. There will be huge swings on the next stage.

I've read all 4 reports in a row, and i went from very happy to extremely disappointed. Especially the time-trial, I don't even know how the best climber with a great TT stat loses 50 seconds in the ascend alone.

Daily form. In PCM13, daily form matters much more than it used to in earlier versions, TT-wise. (take Ignatiev as example- beating Phinney in PT and loosing to Kangert in PCT). So even worlds best TTist has nothing secured with bad daily form...

Which is a big step towards more creditable realism. Granted it is f*cking annoying when it happens against you, but it's marvelous when it happens against your're enemys.

Yeah, because Tony Martin is not winning almost every TT he enters...TT is very predictable discipline IRL.
But it would surprise me if manager depending on surprise results would say something different though...

I did say it was only a step. Certainly not at creditable realism yet.
Plus don't forget we all know how bad the AI is at up-down ITT's. Stick a hill and decent (in this case mountain and decent) in an ITT and will win 9/10 in normal play.
And we've all seen Tony Martin beaten in ITT's he's built whole seasons around (it's happened in the TDF, and in the Worlds just 2 months ago), so it's not beyond thought to not always have the statistically best TT'er win.

PCM, you are brilliant!
Seriously, this result is more than solid for my team, 16th, 20th and winning the young rider jersey, but really PCM sucks when a rider (in this case Efimkin) joins the early break. The leader (Topchanyuk) will ride as passive as possible, not even following attacks making him lose heaps of time. Luckily the other young riders weren't too strong.

I'll take 14th GC very happily. Considering the field it's almost exactly where i would have predicted. Anything more would have been a shock.
Nice to see Georgiev in the break, he's been really quiet and dissapointing during his whole time with us. And we weren't last in the teams comp which is always great for us! Mountains still not our best terrain but we no longer fear them as we have done in the past.
