Terrible AI, but at least i had a rider in the first small group. Good performance from Hirschlein.
While i'm at it, how do the points work in a 5-way tie in the GC? Do the points get split? Just asking because Hirschlein finished 3th of those 5 tied in the stage, but was placed last of them in the GC.
If riders are tied in the GC, all their single stage results count towards the final position in GC. So i guess he finished worse than those other riders in the stages before.

Not good at all from the AI in this race, as others have said. It's unfortunate that the main benefactors, Hornbach and Repsol, are inactive. Especially Repsol, since they only stayed in the game after other reporters persuaded me to give them one more chance.
But hey ho, there we go. Manfred in 11th overall is quite hilarious to me. KoM lead lost as feared, but still decent points.

It wasn't me It's a shame, i agree. Second-chance-failures are worse than anyone else's inactivity.
Yap, didn't really enjoy this race. Too passive mountain gameplay and non-selective hilly stages. Should be one of those races/profiles to take a closer look at next year Some editing may do the trick then.

Bring back the Dobrich GP, we could possibly win that one

Been following pct and ct a lot more recently. Enjoying that we have TMM as a reporter and we are also seeing mega shifts from SN and tsmoha - awesome work.
This race was a little meh, but the final stage actually was fairly nice with a strong ride from Kashachkin taking the overall. In hindsight it is easy to say but hill stages in stage races which also involve a mountain stage do not seem to be very selective with riders fairly defensive on the hill stages. Guillen in main group is obviously a surprise, what is his hill and mo stats? I always thought he was a low flat sprinter type but not overly bad on climbs?

You must have been hallucinating Stats in the link

This is probably the worst AI of the season. This: https://prntscr.co...
Finishes in main group and 10th on GC is just wow. Beats Bos taking rankings points at PT by a mile
Great reports Tsmoha, great read. And well done to all winners.

Guillen, wow what a hero!
Never expected anything from this race so 2 stages win, 1 podium, 2nd points and 10th in GC with zero climbers/GC-riders and only 5 riders aswell is extremly satisfying!

As we expected Stijin Devolder attacked late and held on for 7th place on the stage and 8th place in the GC. Jan Dieteren protected his position with an 11th place on the day and 18th in the GC.
Matti Breschel fell of from 15th in the GC to 82nd when the race was over, but he is not a climber. He was here to earn points in the first 5 stages and that he did banking 17 and Deiteren end up 5th on the KOM and 6th on U25 and he added 13 points.
Devolder's big day on the final stage gave him 34 points. AMEXpc netted a total of 64 points and as a team we finished in 4th place.
A solid performance by a "plug n' play" lineup.
The next three race for AMEX are the PT Wildcard entry in Stradia Appia Antica which will have no impact on our PCT standings, then the Ster ZLM Tour and the Monterey TTT.

PCM, you suck so hard...
A large group was to be expected on a stage with a 20km descent to the finish, but Guillen should never be in there, he should be (amongst) the first to lose contact... Just like Ulanowski, who did drop...
But I could not care less, Topchanyuk with an awesome performance here, 3rd GC is above any expectation I had for this race, and that gap to the others in that group was enormous, he fits quite well in my sprintteam

Been somewhat away for some time, but happy to see Marzano perform. This might be his last big result ever, so great to see him doing something. The rest of the race is somewhat bizarre though.

Nice to see Topchanyuk on the podium. It seemed to be pretty much a lottery of who would slip away and who would just sit in the bunch of those that were not the greatest climbers. That must be the worst AI I've seen in any PCM.
Thanks for all the quick and solid work you're doing for the MG, tsmoha! |

That much for not many points for Topchanyuk and Panatoyov here
