Wow, desparetely uncluky by Yates. At least 2nd in such a classic would cap off the year. Still, I can see a stage win at Vuelta for him.

Why would you give Valverde a gap?
Bad race for Martin.

Good race by Valv.Piti. GVA predictably wins the sprint from the group |

So, this is confirmation that Piti reads daily? So scared of being called a wheelsucker that he attacked on the downhill =) |

It was atleast battle than LBL, where everyone followed each other till last Km. |

Defending champion Tony Gallopin possibly exceeding expectations by finishing fifth ahead of team-mate Jelle Vanendert in sixth. A Trek Factory Racing rider was seventh, probably Zubeldia doing nothing again

I hope Adam will target the GC instead. Clearly potential for a top-10.
I liked the new route. Really tough last climb which make the best riders win and in a sence doesnt make the race so tactical as before hand. |

Wouldn't put it past Zubeldia , amended to seventh now though.

Meh, so and so race, though the last climb was fantastic to watch, with lots of boring ahead of it. Didn't expect Valv to be so stellar after the Tour but those kind of races are surely his speciality. Nieve again with a 4th place, hmm. And Purito with a better performance than during the entire Tour, he's coming into shape.
