Pinot riding surprisingly well means we will likely get two French guys on the podium.

Are we really comparing Schleck's mentality to Mollema's here?

Mollema looks like Andy Schleck in his days of glory on his bike today... even Pinot looks much much better.
I think the big difference is that Pinot is actually interested in bike racing and wants to be the best.
and Mollema doesn't?
I don't know. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it. Didn't he only start riding when he was 17 or something like that? And hasn't he said he really don't know anything about the historie of the sport and isn't really interested in it?
Sure you don't need that to like racing, but it just doesn't seem like he has the same passion as other riders. I might be wrong though, don't know him that well.
yes but about his interests in the sport? I'm not so sure about that. I at least haven't hear something about his disinterest.
and it's not that only Mollema is bad, Ten Dam is also really bad. the only two belkin guys that use the new bike. I really think it's the bike.
As I said I don't know. He might have passion for the sport, it just doesn't look like he has put in the same amount of work to improve his weakpoints as Pinot.
Then again he might just have the same problems as most dutch or danish riders. They're very good from an early age, but never break through on th ebig stage for whatever reason. |

@Metriz
Yes, Mollema started later. Not sure about his knowledge about cycling history but that's not really an indication imo.
But it's not as if Mollema doesn 't work for it.
Mollema went on a height stage specially for the TdF, for example.
And don't forget that Andy had a shitload of talent, Mollema hasn't got that much as him. If Andy had Mollema's mentality, he'd at least try to finish races.
Disputing Mollema's mentality is one(and fine), but comparing it to Schleck's is too much.
