Tour Down Under stage 2
Stage 2 was a pretty uninteresting stage. Nothing important happened.
The breakaway was pretty stong today: Navardauskas (Garmin), Hollenstein (Novo Nordisk), Jungels (Trek) and Coquard (Colombia)
They went into the final 10 km with more then two minutes. But a very strong Stannard took them back.
We got another sprint won by Meersman.
1 | Gianni Meersman | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | 2h42'32 | 2 | Tony Gallopin | Trek Factory Team | s.t. | 3 | Murilo Fischer | Team Novo Nordisk | s.t. | 4 | Manuel Belletti | Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 5 | Mark Renshaw | Belkin | s.t. | 6 | Bernhard Eisel | Sky Procycling | s.t. | 7 | Robert Hunter | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | 8 | Jonathan Cantwell | Team Tinkoff Saxo | s.t. | 9 | Graeme Brown | Belkin | s.t. | 10 | Michael Matthews | La Gazzetta Dello Sport - Gaerne | s.t. | 29 | Mathieu Van der Poel | Katusha Team | s.t. | 116 | Pieter Weening | Team Tom Tom | s.t. |

When will you put the money that everybody has? After the finish of each race?

Stage 3 TDU
Finally we got an interesting stage with only one big question: Will it be a buch sprint or a breakaway win.
With a mountain so fast in the stage many guys wanted to attack. But only four got away.
/center]
[center]Dennis (Orica), Matthews (Gazzetta), Van Der Poel (Katusha) and Golas (OPQS)
With 20 km to go, the pack realed in the escapees
Weening tried to show his shirt as well.
But in the end we got a bunch sprint.
Nocentini with the biggest victory in his carreer.
1 | Rinaldo Nocentini | Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise | 3h59'15 | 2 | Sandy Casar | FDJ | s.t. | 3 | Lars Petter Nordhaug | Belkin | s.t. | 4 | Ion Izagirre | Euskaltel - Milram | s.t. | 5 | Matteo Montaguti | Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 6 | Cameron Meyer | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | 7 | Oliver Zaugg | Team Tinkoff Saxo | s.t. | 8 | Tony Gallopin | Trek Factory Team | s.t. | 9 | Dries Devenyns | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 10 | Koen De Kort | Team Tom Tom | s.t. | 42 | Pieter Weening | Team Tom Tom | s.t. | 67 | Mathieu Van der Poel | Katusha Team | s.t. |

Surely wearing yellow at the Tour for eight days was the highlight of Nocentinis career?

Didn't win any stage though. His next biggest win is probably a stage in AToC also from 2009, which makes a that stage above his biggest win

Well, true. But still, I'd rate wearing yellow at Le Tour higher than winning a stage at STDU.

Stage 4 TDU
Fourth stage seems to be a sprinters stage. Luckily some guys joined the breakaway. The guys really liked the attack as three of them spoke the same language.
Erviti (Movistar), Boaro (Gazzetta), Ferrari (Lampre) and Selvaggi (Wanty)
In the peloton Ian Stannard was hunting on the four foxes. He did his job very well. With 14 km to go he catched them.
But no one from sky finished really well, Cantwell took a very nice victory.
1 | Jonathan Cantwell | Team Tinkoff Saxo | 3h05'55 | 2 | Tony Gallopin | Trek Factory Team | s.t. | 3 | Gaetan Bille | Lotto Belisol | s.t. | 4 | Gianni Meersman | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Robert Hunter | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | 6 | Taylor Phinney | Colombia | s.t. | 7 | Mark Renshaw | Belkin | s.t. | 8 | Lars Petter Nordhaug | Belkin | s.t. | 9 | Koen De Kort | Team Tom Tom | s.t. | 10 | Baden Cooke | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | 30 | Mathieu Van der Poel | Katusha Team | s.t. | 52 | Pieter Weening | Team Tom Tom | s.t. |

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 5
Welcome to the hardest stage of the santos tour down under. finally we may go to the Old Willunga Hill, feared by many riders, loved by other riders.
Rowe (Sky), Rollin (FDJ), Lund (Tinkoff), Tanner (Belkin), Von Hoff (Garmin), Duque (Colombia) and Dumoulin (Tom Tom)
After the first passage the attackers cracked and we got new ones including Hansen, Plaza, Marcato and Zaugg
Plaza ataccked and attacked....
What a beautiful victory
Some guys chose the bus and that's why we got a new leader: Ruben Plaza

Final Stage TDU: Expect the unexpected
It seems to be that Plaza will win the tour down under. All he still have to survive is 90 km.
Traditional breakaway today: Weening (Tom Tom), Devolder (Trek), Rathe (Garmin), Bookwalter (Colombia), Ignatiev (Katusha), Pichon (FDJ), Cimolai (Lampre) and Williams (Team Novo Nordisk)
They were realed in with only 20 km to go.
With 10 km to go the unexpected happened: Plaza crashed with many others. Jose Serpa (Lampre) has to give up with a broken collarbone.
His teammates tried to bring him back...
But they couldn't close the gap.
Cantwell was more luky and won his 2nd stage
