I woudn't think so. The reason in this case should be the shortness of the stage in my opinion.
Nice opener with slightly surprise but cool winner. Nicely done fintas.

Not a total surprise to me. I mean he's still a great sprinter according to PCM and lets not forget he's got a higher ACC stat than Lo Cicero, which is still a big factor. Very happy with the result still. I mean if neither of my guys if going to win, they did the next best
Only team with 2 riders in the Top 10, kind of what Im hoping will happen consistently, even if we dont end up with the win this season. Overall a good points haul here, but would have loved the win, and that line should have come a couple metres sooner

One thing is certain, after the end of the first race of the season, Kupfernagel already has won more points than during the entire previous season. 140 against only 118 in the previous year

Ouch, brutal competition. 21st is a bit disappointing after showing our jersey in the chase. Van Poppel in 30th adds some more points, but these sprint classics will see big points swings and won't be reliable at all.
Congrats to fintas, nice way to start the season

Very surprising winner, but behind him a number of high profile sprinters did well in a high quality dash for the line. DuC is not necessarily a indicator of rest of season so we should not jump to conclusions too soon.

It was a bit suprising winner, have he been on training camp in the preseason?
But nice seeing one of the "outsiders" winning, then even if our sprinters is not as good as Kupfernagel we still have a chance to get a results somewhere

Congratulations fintas. After a whole season of disappointment with Amex, Kupfernagel starts this season with a bang in the most disputed flat race of the year in the most sprinter-crowded PCT season ever.
This should be an interesting season for Karcher

Stage as flat as a pancake, riding on home soil, could fight for a top 10, end up 90th as our best rider. Ricki Nelson, you're fired!
Congrats to Karcher, very surprising and pleasant so see Kupfernagel on top of the podium at this insane sprinter party. |

Less points than Repsol in a flat race
To those of you who know PCM 13 well, do sprinters attack often?
You know? I did some runs on this race and I've seen Greipel, Vaitkus, Kupfernagel, Napolitano (!), Haussler, and a whole lot of other sprinters attack, so my guess is 2nd tier sprinters will occasionally attack. Problem is the game recognizes everyone behind the strongst rider as second tier...

Can't say I'm pleased with that. Was hoping Nepo would cling on to a wheel, but it seems like he was never even anywhere near the front of the field.
Surprising winner, and well captured!

Wow!
Very surprised by the winner there. Surprised even more to see Haussler attack.
Cabrera's 5th place is a good result and Rizza also did good to give more points.
