We're hot on your heals, in fact great results in Istria and Dunkerque probably put us ahead for now. Hopefully the hree British Isles teams can inspire each other to reach promotion, though it'd be a pain in the ass to be up against you again in transfers, going for similar riders once more.

Instead of the normal Preview-Review of the month, I will just do a review as I haven't updated this recently, sorry!
Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt
We sent our top sprinter Rowe for this race with an incredibly long name. Unfortunately for us the break won the race and Rowe didn't really impress in the bunch sprint, finishing in 23rd place, something that he has made his own in his stay so far.
The break taking the win at the end.
Avila Classic
We came into this C1 cobble classic with Takenouchi as our leader. He lead a mid-stage attack which couldn't make it to the break, which eventually took the win. In the end he couldnt finish in front of the peloton either but he did bring us some sponsor exposure.
Takenouchi on his mid-stage voyage.
Criterium Hainleite
This was a semi-cobble classic and we hoped to get a good result with Takenouchi in the mix, he could only finish 14th as he missed a vital break.
Avery on his way to the break.
Lincoln GP
This was our win goal and we hoped that we could achieve this. Tiernan-Locke was our man in the break and finished as our best rider in 12th, Takenouchi livened up the race with many attacks, but it just didn't work out for us in the end, disappointing to be honest.
Tiernan-Locke in the break
Takenouchi attacking again!
Sibiu Tour
Stannard was our only hope in this race to be honest and he did deliver some decent stage placings in the time trials, with a 3rd and 5th place. We were quite disappointed that we hadn't featured in any of the breaks, but Stannard's results were relatively pleasing.
Stannard delivering in the TTs
We will conclude this update with our final race of the month:
Circulo de Juarez
Rowe was our main man for this race and he delivered! Yes, it was surprising to me but he did it, managing 3 top tens with 2 4th places on the way, not bad!
Rowe finishing 4th on stage 2 in the Circulo de Juarez.

Takenouchi certainly got the sponsors name on show and it was great to see Rowe finally find some form. |

@DaveTwoBob - Nice that you are still following me, indeed it is nice that Takenouchi has been attacking lately, he will certainly get a new contract and Rowe, well, if it the start of something good then I won't complain!
And here is another ranking update, hope I can sneak back in the top 10 soon!
CT
Just as the fight for topspot in PCT is hotting up, the same can be said in CT, with the division now past the halfway mark with teams on an average of 78 race days out of 150. Vontobel do still lead but TomTom, Nutresa, Risa, Evonik and Bonsucro are all closing in.
There's a threat of those 6 edging away from the rest, but actually many others are well within touching distance if they can get into a good run of form. The big climb this update comes from ONCE-Eroski, into the Top 10 after a mighty 1-2 in the HC Madrid classic.
Maloja are continuing their climb up, now 17th, while Sauber are up to 18th after a surprise victory at the Tour of Japan. Alpina - Avianca were also able to move slightly away from the bottom, up 2 to 23rd. Although actually, they are only 2 points clear of 25th in a tight battle that Live Nation would very much like to join.
1 | 1 | | Team Vontobel | 1067 | 2 | 2 | | Team TomTom | 931 | 3 | 3 | | Grupo Nutresa | 915 | 4 | 6 | | Risa - Ergon | 912 | 5 | 4 | | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 901 | 6 | 5 | | Bonsucro | 886 | 7 | 8 | | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 767 | 8 | 7 | | Fletcher-Garneau | 680 | 9 | 10 | | Azteca-NBCSN | 663 | 10 | 15 | | ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team | 652 | 11 | 9 | | Team Nordeus | 629 | 12 | 11 | | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | 617 | 13 | 12 | | Team ASDA-Savers | 598 | 14 | 13 | | Siam Cement - Lenovo | 556 | 15 | 14 | | In-n-Out Racing p/b Auchan | 556 | 16 | 16 | | Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 474 | 17 | 21 | | Maloja Mountain Nomads | 467 | 18 | 23 | | Sauber Petronas | 440 | 19 | 17 | | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | 387 | 20 | 18 | | Euskaltel - Bavaria | 375 | 21 | 19 | | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 349 | 22 | 20 | | Dell - 361° Racing | 334 | 23 | 25 | | Alpina - Avianca | 297 | 24 | 22 | | Team Chiquita-Universal | 297 | 25 | 24 | | Wounded Warrior | 295 | 26 | 26 | | Team Live Nation | 222 |
The projected standings are good reading for Bonsucro, lifting them from one spot outside of guaranteed promotion right ot the top. Risa-Ergon slip to 6th, but are continually improving after a very poor start to the season.
In-n-Out and ASDA-Savers are two more who favour well in these standings.

Projections definitely suggesting a strong second half of the season, though they are never the most reliable. Depending on the amount of disbandments in (P)CT, 10th could still be enough for promotion though.

Thanks guys, I'm really aiming at getting promoted this season, but that will be hard to do and I would be reliant on the no. of disbandments as well. I think the major goal is finishing in the top 10 which is certainly a lot more realistic.
I will post the results from this month soon and then I should get back to doing previews for the month as well

Just a small review of June, may do a preview of the July races soon...
Bucks County Classic
We brought our main sprinter Rowe for this sprint classic with the aim of getting somewhere close to the win, Rowe managed 6th in the end in an extremely close finish, American Tyler Farrar took the win.
Rowe finishing strongly to get 6th
We sent a rather below par team to this race and Richardson didn't do badly at all, he finished 3rd in the king stage after attacking from distance and was rewarded with 9th in the GC.
Richardson joining Kulhavy's winning move in stage 8
Barcelona Classic
Rowe once again was our leader in Spain, again he failed to win but he did collect another 6th place finish, which wasn't so bad...
Rowe finishing 6th in the final sprint
Oberosterreichrundfahrt
This was a key stage race for us and involved some hard hills, especially the last stage which was a big one... Tiernan-Locke finished 6th in the king stage and finished 5th overall, bringing more success to the team.
Tiernan-Locke placing well on the final stage...
Rutas de America
Rowe was also our main sprinter once again in another sprint classic, however he disappointed and only managed to finish 11th, lets move on!
Rowe finishing 11th in the sprint, Cameron Wurf took the win however

Tour de Pologne
The race came and went as quickly as it came, the team didn't manage to score a lot of points but what did come from the race was an unexpected win by Rowe. He finished on the top spot of the podium in stage 2, narrowly beating Geschke in a close sprint, something which raised a smile on our face!
Rowe celebrating his win
Isle of Man ITT
We sent Stannard to this TT in the Isle of Man, we hoped for a positive result but in the end, the hill in the middle proved too much for Stannard and he finished down the order.
Stannard finishing his tough day on the bike...
Manx International
This was one of the biggest races on our calendar for the team, being a HC Band race. Semple made the break and ultimately finished the best of our team in 20th after Tiernan-Locke failed to make the split. Still we got some major exposure in our home country which isn't the end of the world.
Semple in the break before being caught
JTL was our man for the overall, and with a large TT, it proved too much for him. The hilly stages proved to be decisive as Arredondo attacked to win stage 2 and the GC with it. Stannard won the TT while JTL's best result was 3rd, Rowe did not do much of relevance it had to be said though...

I had to read it twice - Rowe won a stage - well I'll go to the foot of our stairs .
Stannard doesn't like a hill much does he, but a win in far flung Indonesia was welcome.
Not that many points from overall places though - come on Asda Savers big push for promotion from the last part of the season!

@DaveTwoBob - Yeah, it really was a surprise that Rowe won a stage, thought it would never happen! Anyway, I have seen you have posted in the Interest in the ManGame thread, hope you would get one as it would be fun racing against/beating you
This race was a big disappointment, Tiernan-Locke proved out of his depth against the elite of the PCT division and dropped away early on, he finished 47th over a minute down on the winner Di Maggio
Rowe was a designated sprinter for the race but the stages finished on a slight incline, ending our hopes of a notable stage result on his behalf. Stannard won the TT with 2 seconds to spare in difficult conditions but a win is a win none the less. The mountain stage was very tough and we saw a rather peculiar sight, with both Richardson and Woods attacking looking to gain some time. Although the move didn't work out, we managed 15th (Woods) and 20th (Richardson) in the GC as well.
This was a flat criterium with cobbles on each circuit, the cobbles didnt prove to be hard enough for Takenouchi so the best we could muster was 26th in a sprint finish.
This was a tough stage race where JTL ended up as our leader. His best result was expected to come on the hilly stage 3 but he only managed 7th, he did however snatch a stage win the next day and eventually finished 7th overall, not bad!
Cigar City Brewing Twilight GP
Another cobble criterium, this time at C2 level. Takenouchi was aggressive towards the end of the race but was caught before the line and couldn't manage a notable result.
Takenouchi in a small break before being caught
This was a race with teams more familiar with the PCT circuit. We didn't manage to impress at all in Germany, although JTL stole some screen time during stage 2.
JTL on the attack!

Sad to see the Asda boys most likely missing out on promotion, maybe if you spend your whole budget on teaching Stannard to climb you can promote next year.
Should BoI promote I'm sure we can loan each other riders if necessary, since the teams are quite similar.

Yeah I'm quite sad we probably wont promote as well, would be interested in a possible loan agreement should you promote, as long as I get Drapac and Mendes

Neither of them would do shit as leaders at PCT level, and especially Mendes doesn't actually suit the team too much. But that's IF I get promoted, and that's a pretty big IF at the moment.

JTL did his best but sadly results were not quite good enough. It would be great to race against Asda's next season, a small consolation for missing out on promotion.

Herald Sun Tour
This was a nice relaxing break for some riders in the basking sun of down under. Stannard won yet another TT and spent two days in the yellow jersey, but was eventually deposited after the king stage. No major points here but we won another stage, which isn't bad at all.
Stannard in yellow...
Tour of Britain
Probably the race of our season here, we wanted to show our colours in the aim of attracting some notable sponsors but our riders didnt get the memo. Stannard finished 7th in the TT while the rest of the team was pretty inactive, lets move on...
Stannard on his solo ride, the highlight of our race...
GP Montreal
This was a race where JTL could show his abilities and the management was quite confident as well. However, he missed out on the key moves and he ended up 7th after finishing strongly, its a decent result all things said, but not quite the win we hoped for.
JTL finishing strongly...
Cauberg Classic
This was another hilly classic where JTL would, once again, lead the team. He joined a promising move late on, but was swallowed up by the group of favourites late on and could only manage a pitiful 16th place, Orbe of Euskaltel Bavaria managed to win from the break late on...
JTL on the move, although he paid for it later...

Shame that the team were not more active in the Tour of Britain but the competition was a bit too strong. JTL made the right moves but not quite able to finish it off. Hope for a bit of luck in the last races.
