Tour of Qatar
It would be hard to win in Qatar, a big race with lots of the top sprinters turning up, looking to win one of the few races they can place highly in GC.
We'd brought a decent team, but it was our first race, so we were still all unfit.
The break was but one man, but the pace was still scorching hot for my first race.
Despite the high pace we still set up a train, with me and the guys pushing to put Ricardo in a position to lead out our star Robert Förster.
The train disintegrated in the desert and Robert had to cover an early move from Tyler Farrah himself,
With 1k to go we were making our move on Geraint Thomas for goodness sake, the sprint was highly chaotic, with many sprinters in trouble.
we'd done it, in the flukeyist circumstances possible, we'd won our first victory
Just look at these results, Millar, Voigt and Flecha beating top sprinters like Cav and Ciolek. Wow, that is the weirdest sprint stage I've ever seen, and I feel slightly honoured to have been part of it.

That is very weird. Also, in your UnitedHealthCare Signs 3 Young Talents post you called Ricardo Acosta Roberto.

Tour of Qatar Stage 2
Stage 2 was the team time trial, we expected to lose some time, maybe too much for Robert to get back, but we'd already got what we came for so we were up for some more surprises.
We were pretty well drilled as a team, the positioning was great but we knew we didn't have the strength in depth to match garmin, BMC and radioshack.
The hard ours of practise we'd done was clearly paying off, look how straight our line is, it was like being dragged along.
We came across the line, it was looking good, we were... Last.
Oh, well ummm ok, not so good, our soaring pride after yesterday was shot from the sky by the rifles of the pro tour (and half the conti tour )
Here's the best of the best
And here's us......

Great to see Walter leading the team home.
BTW You did spell Qatar wrong in two separate posts, I guess I'm only pointing that out because of my own story.
Keep it up Walter. If you keep this going you should add the Indonesian NC's |

Indonesian nc, would be pretty easy, 2 riders... Sorry about Qatar, I corrected most spellings, but some must have eluded my quick glance, maybe I'll add a whole conti team of Indonesians to make it a bit more interesting (or 9... )
Yeah, was lucky he led it home, he almost didn't get to the front! |

Tour of Qatar (yes, spelt it right) stage 3
Today, was another flat stage, well obviously...
We wanted to start gaining time back we'd lost in the TTT, and also to make another Impression on the race.
The breakaway was entirely continental riders looking for glory after they all failed slightly less than us in the TTT.
The pace was a bit slow today so our lead out was menacingly strong, we gave 100% effort, the DS had got the idea into our heads we owed him one after our "lack of effort" yesterday.
Ricardo's lead out was simply stupendous, he was annihilating the field, putting Robert in a commanding position. The others would do well to win from here.
Just a few metres from the line and Robert looked set to win again, but the pro field was coming strong, particularly cavendish.
NO, he just couldn't do it, Cavendish came from behind to win with ease, Robert just holding Second.
Today's was a slightly more usual sprint, but far from normal still, several cobblers and youngsters getting up there, maybe it's just early season fitness. |

The only reason I use the photos is because the exports are too complicated for my puny brain .

Hey, it seems your story is getting better each day, and keep going with this
Btw, when I was reading over your story, I had just one question, why is he on UHC? |

Because he did a random draw of teams selected by us. And also, I agree - this story is getting better and better
