The article says they are going to use a never-climbed-before route for the finish, so it may be interesting, as they won't use the same road two times. |

Crelan - Euphony manager Gérard Bulens has complained to the UCI about the Belkin jersey, looking to much like their own.

Oh c'mon, that can't be true. They don't even have same colour, not to talk about shapes. Looks alike Apple vs Samsung "fight" about same-looking products...

Likely Boonen retires after next season. "The urge to win is going away" "I might have retired had this season been a good one" "I'd like to ride the fight for the win in Roubaix and de Ronde for one more time"

Well in that case I better prepare my lawsuit for football kits looking like they come off a template dominated factor line. Seen plenty of copycat and handmedown kits there

This news is a couple days old, sorry if somebody's posted it, but I was away recently
Blood passport people came to the conclusion that portuguese rider of the year 2011 and 2012, Sérgio Ribeiro's blood values were consistent with doping and presented their findings to the Portuguese Federation.
Portuguese Federation analized the data and came to the following conclusion: 12 year ban
For those who don't know Ribeiro, the guy had one hell of a transformation as a rider. In fact, I'd argue he had several. Last year he even learned to climb mountains. Another guy on the lime green Vini F...I mean Efapel team, just as obviously doping as the rest of them.
And just like Amorim who was suspended via blood passport a short while ago, this guy also left Efapel in mysterious circumstances this offseason
EDIT: Mind you he doesn't ride for Efapel this year, but the violations are not from this year

I can't say that i have heard of Ribeiro, but a 12 year ban is what the sport in general needs to dish out to any cyclist caught doping, two years is nothing, Congratulations to the Portugese cycling Federation |

This was his 2nd violation as far as I'm aware, so nothing special really.

Great to see but at the same time I just can't take a guy named Dick Pound seriously.

I thought his name was a joke the first time a read an article about him. It's too good to be true.
Also, curling? Drugs for improved concentration or..?

Finally someone who dares to question current cycling performances in mainstream (cycling)media.
Almost everybody else keeps telling the same story over and over again (The Armstrong era is over, the peleton is more clean now, Team Sky proves that you can win without doping, the blood passport makes it impossible to dope without getting caught, the mentallity has changed etc.) |

Beta-blockers. They're used to reduce the heart rythm to improve concentration. |

Sounds very reminiscent of :
Almost everybody else keeps telling the same story over and over again (The 90's EPO era is over, the peloton is more clean now, Team US Postal proves that you can win without doping, the EPO test makes it impossible to dope without getting caught, the mentallity has changed etc.)
You forgot a part about how hard they train, which the previous generation barely did (well-known fact). |

if that wont work then...they have different training methods and technology.
Every rider who is leaving from that team will be brainwashed and they wont remember how they trained at Sky |
