As a 'noob' posting here, I have to say that the quality of stories that I read as a 'anonymous' was one of the reasons why I decided to take the plunge. So plaudits to all you guys for having the motivation and passion to write about your PCM games.

Next step in a process...
Whilst the Story Games section was appreciated, and well used, if almost solely by the UCPCL, it did rather seem to be ignore/overlooked/what ever words you want to use.
Anyway i have 6-8weeks without my laptop or PCM starting at the weekend, so i'm starting to work up my next big idea (not a story idea, a game idea) to follow the UCPCL. That is about to kick into a new gear and the whole season run a lot quicker and smoother (seriously, how SN does the Man-Game is beyond me, its utterly incredible) so i can relax a let it do its thing.
I'm building up the framework for a new PCM Daily Criterium Series thing. Basic premise at this point (subject to major changes) is that people sign up a team. They can then assign their own Attributes/Skills based upon a set of rules, and pick which riders do which races. Rosters of 10 or so with race squads being limited to 5ish. From there teams take part in a selection of races around the world to build up points, with the final top "x" teams taking part in the Grand Final Series to crown the overall champion.
From here the details get foggy and would be dependent upon numbers. Currently the dream scenario would be to get enough teams so that you could pick which races you wanted to participate, rather than having a set calendar. The races would be across the world (Oceaia, Asia, Africa, South America, North America, Europe) a covering every type of terrain (including Time Trials!) to give everyone a chance to score points.
Simply, would an Admin be pissed if there were a couple of threads in the Story sections (literally 1 or two active at a time, but hopefully including a lot of Daily members, not just the usual who join these things)?
Would anyone be interested in such a thing? It's not a rehashing of tsmoha's Man-Game Crit series, or the RTR, or Baggies UK schools league, but it's own thing with a fair few unique features. It would be simple for everyone to join and take part in, and people would be able to join at any time during the series. It would have a simple set up to move from year to year which would keep the series balanced.
I'm waffling on here, but as you can tell i have a good outline of things, and some serious time to pad it out fully. But it would only work with good, solid support from a variety of members. The more people who would join the more scope there is for various features. And again i'm waffling away.
1) Would Admins be pissed with it? With a couple of Threads in the Story section?
2) Would anyone be interested?
Feel free to ask questions. I will post updates as things become more developed over the coming months. You might say it's too early to mention such a thing, but trust me when i say these things take time to develop, and i dont want to waste it if it's a dumb idea people don't like.
(Finally, i promise! My story is not dead, not will it be dead. I wont have PCM for 6-8weeks so physically can't play it. I have got a good way into the career now so it will be awesome to jump back into in the future)

On PCM Focus, those are a bit like stories but short reports (not really individual races, only monuments if you want or a GT), but a report can easily be about a whole month or even season if you want. Almost no screenshots, no real story-telling or interviews.
So basically what we do here in the General Career Discussion Thread, but then a separate thread for a longer ongoing career, which preferably should be started if the career is already over a season old, to avoid many thread starting up which last only a month.
+5 from me. I'd def. do a Carrer that way.  |

Just a quick question: in stories you always see Training rides with just your own Team. How do you get that? Is it an own race or something? |

You start a race, set all your riders on a low dot level to drop them backwards out the peloton. Then you can take screens without any other riders around.
You can use the sprint points to get action shots and things like that. It's easier than having a race with just your own team

The easiest way, is just use an editor to give all the teams the same jersey (likely yours), then just do a custom race. Everyone will look like they ride for the same team.

There are several ways.
One thing you can do is create a startlist including only your team. An easier method is to set all your riders on dot and low effort in a normal race, letting them drop a few minutes behind the rest of the peloton.

I'm having "The Comeback" writing withdrawals... 
Then again I don't have much time on my hands at the moment anyways.
So for now it has all worked out, timing wise, for the better.

Desperately waiting for the new DB now
Got a [hopefully] really good story thought up, and done quite a bit of research/writing etc; learnt a lot from my previous two stories, and the excellent ones of others, and got everything planned and finalised around about last week, just waiting for the DB now

I'm thinking of finally starting another story again as well. I have something in mind which I think could be fun, but I haven't done any actual background work yet. Still, I'm looking forward to it. Then again, how often did I think "oh yeah, I'm gonna do this great story", and then threw the idea away. We'll see ^^
