I find TVG rather overrated. Without the massive amount of TT kilometers, I find it hard to see him finishing ahead of much better climbers like Quintana and Pinot.
I do find him a bit overrated as well, but to me he's still a clear contender. Quite better time trialist, not so bad climber, he has a good shot.

Pinot was also under Casar as a young super-domestique like TVG. Quintana can defeat TVG without the basis of having to help or not. Especially since Quintana doesn't need worry about helping anyone single-handedly, as Movistar has plenty of climbers to help out.
No he wasn't. In fact he already gained time on Casar in the first mountain stage.

The way I see it, there are only two contenders for the white jersey - Quintana and Pinot
Maybe Talansky as well if Hesjedal misses the race or shows up in crap form.
Van Garderen? He put 6 minutes to Pinot last year while working for Evans. I'm not sure Pinot has closed that gap just yet, even with less TT kilometers.

I expect whoever wins white to be in the top 3 overall, which both Quintana and Pinot are capable of in my opinion.
Quintana sure, if he doesn't have to work for Piti. Pinot I think not yet.

Movistar has plenty of climbers that cant help in the big Mountains excluding Costa, like last Year Vuelta where Quintana was the only one capable of follow Purito and Contadope in the Mountains and had to make babysitter for Valverde all the way up. So Unless Valverde crashes he will be working for him. |

The "only" one?
Did you expect other Movistar-domestiques to follow Contador and Purito's attacks as well?

Thats the point NTTHRASH was saying that Quintana will not have to work for Valverde because in Movistar are enaugh climbers to do that, but thats not the case. |

Three goals: Stages + Green for Greipel and an overal podium with Vandenbroeck
Green isn't a goal for Greipel. Lotto's goals are clear; at least one stage win for Greipel and Van den Broeck on the podium. The train is indeed the same as last year, and De Clerq will be a better helper for VdB than Jelle "I only have decent form in the Pyrenees" Vanendert. |

I have to agree, De Clercq will be of more help than Vanendert. Not sure what to think of VDB's form this year, but someone who can get 4th place twice, can get a podium as well. It might even be a very open race for second place.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I hope to see Seeldraeyers in the Astana tour team. He was doing very good in Dauphiné

I have a question about the Champs Elysees route from this year.
After rewachting the live stream, I noticed that they ride around the arc de triomphe, but they did that never before irl, iirc (at least, I have never seen it)
Now, will they do this this year irl too, or is a just a little (nice) mistake from cyanide?

They're doing it this year for sure, and I think they did it last year as well? I don't pay much attention to post-Tour critériums.

Hey, you're right. I always thought they went around it, too! That's odd
Then it's a great mistake by Cyanide |

They never go around the Arc!!! Ever! At least no since i've been watching the Tour. Can't believe that even had to be asked...
There was talk about going around this year as part of the 100 celebration but didn't know that they had gotten permission.

The final twist in the tale of the 100th edition of the race is a night time finish on the Champs-Élysées. The planned finishing time is 9.45pm, as the sun sets. And in a break from tradition, the riders will go around the Arc de Triomphe, rather than turn 100m short of it.

I almost never watch the last stage, only the finish of it, to be honest. It is the most boring GT stage ever.
Also seeing Froome with champagne celebrating would kill me.

Vino disagrees. One of the most awesome doped performances ever, with Pantani's Galibier attack and Vandenbroucke's madness in Serranillos.
