God, you Americans don't like losing. Basically, BBL, we were rubbish(when we were GB only) then you said we should become Europe, we were still rubbish, we got good, you took it too seriously, then we thrashed you reputedly (with a gap) and you're breaking the whole thing open to see where you fail. In other words, the biannual thrashing is complete. But don't panic. You've got the President's Cup.

Anyone watching the Masters? Seems like there's been an absence of really suspenseful majors in the last couple years, with the exception of last year's PGA really..

This. I'm not the most avid follower of this sport year round, but there's something about Mickelson that makes me really like him and cheer for him when he's in contention for something big.
Thinking about it, it just might be his very enjoyable YouTube videos, and his great ability to turn bad lies into astounding shots.

Curious to know, does anybody here do any golfing themselves besides me?
I am nowhere near a good level, having only played for about 2 years.
I have managed to get my handicap from 50 to 39 though in the past few weeks. I am having a ton of trouble using my driver to the point that I used a 5iron the entire round to finish up with a 111. Was wondering if anybody else here golfed that I could chat with about golfing experiences?

Of course, I think i mentioned here that I do.
15ish handicap for me, though from the championship tees I don't break 90 unfortunately..

Not sure what you are speaking of, as colors are usually very arbitrary and depend on the course.
Usually it's Championship - Men - Ladies - Juniors/Seniors here. Most of the time I play the Men's tees, which are about 6600-6800 yards in total length. Back tees are usually 7200ish yards. If you are suggesting that they made fun of you for not using the championship/tournament tees, that's quite strange..

Anybody seeing the US Open?
Many different stories developing, from Tiger Woods being one of the worst to Jason Day suffering from vertigo and now being a crowd favorite as he is tied for the lead. Location is horrible the greens are moving so fast and its like a desert land out in the course.

I'm actually following because of Joost Luiten. Plus I've been playing a lot of pitch&putt golf last 5/6 years and some par 3 courses.. (a real license and golf lessons are too expensive for now).. nice sport

Chambers Bay was sold as a nice, forgiving links- and it's the worst USGA set-up yet.
