Sorry for that.
Was looking for good Portuguese shirts and didn`t think about a possible rivalry there.
Coming to the first stage Cucinotta quite disappointing. He was in a top3-5 position when the train was formed but dropped then to the very end of the long train to find a wheel...11th was the maximum then I guess...
Nice try to Tendero at least, even though it didn`t last long. |

Did Fonte fall somewhere? losing 9 minutes isn't something he'd normally do...

Lay, Anton Martin and Sanchez all scoring points
But Sanchez should have won the hilly crit, where was Toribio to do the work. Sanchez' finish was impressive though taking half a minute on the rest, let's hope he can do the same on the other hilly

All riders not in the daily results were DNF.
They will still race the other criteriums!
Fonte was dropped earlier just like Felline and others. Their weaker mountain stat is probably the reason as the climbs were already in between hill and mountain.

Two riders in the front group, but no points. Not ideal.

Facci was quiet.

Too bad Mendes was too shy today. He's still up for some points later on the Crit

Wow what a meltdown by the sprinters teams.
But it is good to see a mix of results in these crits - a sprint on a flat crit clearly is not inevitable!
Thanks roturn for this speedy series

Haha, just after he left, Le Gac wins something
(not that he was expected to win anything last season)

Nice close race, thanks to the field struggling to chase even dangerous breaks! Lay for the overall now? Or yet another surprising winner? Anyway, looking forward to Circuit de Catalunya!
And thanks for the fast reporting, also you put nice effort into this with quite a lot of text. Thrilling racing so far. Just like Smowz said: its kinda cool that everything can happen in those Crits!

Fantastic win from Moinard on the last day, rescuing what had been a bit of a non performance up to then. Was thinking the Frenchman preferred a good old classic Grand Tour breakaway.
Just possible he could make the finals I guess with that kind of win in a bit of a scramble for the overall title behind Samu.
Strange series this with the points really shared around.
