That's more like it. A shame Napolitano is here, but with good break activities and v Poppel stepping up (better late than never huh?) this stage was as it should have been the other flat ones as well.
Next up mountains, so we might as well fly home already.

Too bad that we lost the GC lead, but I guess that was bound to happen, Napolitano is just too fast. Now I hope for a good showing in the mountains.

Awang is still winning the race for the lantern rouge, He's so dedicated, it would be a shame to tell him that there's no points available for it.

Nice to see Bongiorno really agressive, though that probably cost him some GC places.

I don't really care about the gc places he lost. He never would have won white anyway. But it was really great to see him going for it early on

Very interesting stage, with a lot on the line for some people. I had hoped Kessiakoff would do better, but as he often seems to do, he tried. Now for a flat stage, easy pickings for Napolitano.

Nice gutsy riding from Grygorenko and Hesjedal. The latter should maybe conserve some energy for better finish, but 13th in GC is better than i hoped for and Grygorenko second in white competition + 3rd in teams competition is a nice bonus.
Now to the last stage, go Hoffman, for another podium!
Thnaks for the nice report.

3rd for Serpa is ok, but he should be beating Ji, and his positioning probably cost him greatly. Congrats to Meiji |

Mestre -.-
Lost a top 3 in the Middle East by attacking like a moron'
Wastes a possible better position here by doing NOTHING.
Strange climber he is, and his wage... Oh well...

Decent mountain stage and I really like the winner in Ji - a slight surprise but the difference between him and the other climbers is not as big as some make out.
Why would Kessiakoff or Mestre be expected to do better? They don't appear to be the top five climbers here to me.
Big result for Meiji who are showing a nice improvement from 2012.

Very good stage for me with two riders moving into the top 10 in the GC, hopefully nothing happens on the last stage and I will be happy.

Girdlestone did well in capturing the white jersey, however a 18th is too far behind our top 10 goal set by our sponsors and I promise I will not go in to the next stage and hope for puncture and crash by 8th riders in front of him
Great stage and great report SN!
Cool stagewinner aswell, congrats to Meiji! |

Finally caught up with this race after some busy days.
Unfortunately nothing positive for us at all. No luck with successful breaks and disappointing mountain stage from Dyachenko and Osella. Losing that much on similar riders like Shimizu, Soler and Briceno is really below expectations.
But good job with the reports. Keeps my interest for the rest of the race alive, at least.
The roads look pretty scary, though!

yeah, another succesful attempt to take the lantern rouge by Awang
hopefully next year the powers that be will take pity on his cause and award points for it.

Well, this race went quite well. Pineau a huge surprise here, being the sprinter. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the guy with most top 10s during this race.
Still lacking a real winner, but the riders are performing well, but unstable at so.

Wohoo, that was some power show from our stallion!
Does Napolitano know what happed jph27?
Perfect teamwork finished by Nolan, we benefited from weaker day of Evian train though.
This made our tour an instant success. Stage win, two more podiums,13th in GC, 2nd in young comp. and 3rd in teams, that is much better than i expected and some nice points are home.
Thanks for nice reports SN, it was fun!
Now to Eneco, another race for Nolan Hoffman, looking forward to how he will do against more pure sprinters. Good flat should be an advantage once again.
