Exactly. Before the race I would have been extremely happy with a 2nd overall.
After the brilliant performance in the hilly stage I had hoped for more, but as he already is overperforming here, I can`t complain.
Not ideal to have sent Bellis here as he won`t score a lot. Had hoped for 1-2 stage wins, but then again Bellis already scored nicely so far and will most likely also score well after Czech.
Cucinotta definitely won`t get a new contract as he steals too many opportunities plus I will have Krieger, Ariesen, Vantomme and Sbaragli, who won`t be much weaker than him. |

Very good TT by Popkov and what a tour for him, holding that 6th spot in a HC race against much stronger oppposition and only because of better placement than Kono. I think Popkov is the biggest surprise in top10, now hold it and maybe add some another good stage placement thanks to all around skills of Vitaliy.
I was expecting clear GC win from Boom after the hilly stage, very surprised to see DaveZ beating him so much.
Congrats to ING!

Just realized that it`s HC rated this year.
Even better to have a good race here so far.
So best case scenario on the 5th stage is that Cucinotta loses contact and Bellis will go for the win on a tough flat stage.
Worse case scenario is that Cucinotta loses contact and Bellis or even Boom will wait for him...which would be absolutely awful...

@roturn: Of course you may have to think hard about your squad if you promote.
Zabriskie's motor clicks into gear, Boom had a bad day else he would have won. Still not really a bad situation for Rothaus. When you compare them to those other European powerhouses Tinkoff they have had a much better race.
HC races are game changers in the CTour sometimes, possibly the start of a ING movement upwards here?

I might have to start with thinking about promotion I guess. Something I have never expected this season to be honest.
But good thing then is that I can keep all the level 3/4 talents and bring them up on my own like Olivier, Koep, Ariesen, Krieger, Schachmann etc.
Then I will have to think about my leaders now how good they will be on PT level and last but not least I will have a huge budget boost to think about filling the gaps like in my mountain squad. |

Nice performance by Reus. We will never know if he would have been closer in the TT without the fall, but even with this result he would have been 6th in GC. Too bad. Zabriskie unbeatable in the TT and fulfilling his role as a favorite.

This transfers, that "huge" boost turned out to be quite small considering the ridiculous wages for GC riders, so don't be too excited

Thank you everyone, this will be (unless something terrible unlucky happens) the greatest ever race-win yet for the team (both as Pirelli and now ING)!
Zabriskie haven't been too lucky, but he has still managed to win two races and I hope that Roche and especially Marchante will try to keep pushing the team up in the ranking, so that we might actually end inside the top 10.
Great report from you once again SN, I can't wait to write my next monthly race report now

Guess I vastly underestimated the time gains in a TT of this length. Still, points keep flowing
Congrats ING!

4th and 9th is great in a HC stage race and shows our best performances this season have nearly all been in Hilly TT stage races. |

Zaini did a bit better than I expected Sano in the Top 20 as well.
If they can hold on to their positions, along with Zaini's KOM win, this could be a great points haul, to prevent relegation.

Well we didn't get shut out...so a success for us, broadly speaking.
ING dominant over the event, they'll get a nice haul of points

ING* we don't have anything to do with the gamesite But I completely agree with you, this was the perfect way to end a fantastic race which will stand as the greatest I've so far experienced in my 2 and a half year in this fantastic game.
I hope we will continue the good performances, then we'll see where we are when the season is over!

Woops, my bad. Note: IGN - gaming website and ING - company that was sponsoring Renault during Piquet's crash. |

Present in break. Check. Good GC at the end. Check.
And then Lijke once again. Came from quite far back there to keep that awesome 3rd. And 2nd in points? Damn, the kid is surprising me. Great race for us considering our squad here.
Congratz to ING, commiserations to UPC, very unluky with Reus fall.

Not a race to remember for Armavia. At least Lo Cicero snatched the top 50 this time
ING were a level above everybody and really deserved victories! |

Visconti did quite well, can't complain bout his 11th place.
Rogers was a joke right from the start. Nothing more to say about him.
Thanks for the reports. Good work as usual!
