Love to see Matthias Frank and Albasini being more active than Schumacher
What an odd race, this AI is no good, but I guess its great news for the climbers with low hill stats in GT's.
I am not too sure about this. In Catalunya some of those struggled quite a lot in the hilly stages...
Van Den Broeck really having a great race here. And Bakelants finally shows that he is an elite puncheur. |

This just makes it worse. It means Bakelants is actually able to beat the others but just didn't give a f*** in the other stages.
I guess I'll have to settle for a top-10 and a stage win. Being more than two minutes behind the leader in a race like this is unacceptable though.

Another shit performance, and 66th GC from Ulissi is well... Don't know what to say about it. Can't wait for the next race.

Finally managed to find the time to run through the time trial finisher today.
Sorry for the delay (again!) things have cropped up unfortunately but I should be able to get something up later today.

Could have been worse, Rujano and Clement brought few points from here. I´m not happy with VDB´s great performance, though

Stage win, 3rd for Schleck and 20th for Gastauer is a decent outcome for the race. It was always going to play into the hands of the likes of Gesink and Trofimov when clear that PCM12 hills arent always good at being decisive.

First race, first win. It's looking good for Gesink so far
Also, I think this is the first time he wins a race two years in a row.

This better apply to Ricco aswell, or i'm doomed.
Expected nothing, got nothing. On to the last of the classics and then the GT's. Without bad luck they should be fine for my team.

This was a shit race.
I think Wiggle will have lost a little ground here, where we expected to do good.
This has been an odd season so far. |

This was a good race. Some hilly stages brought gaps. Congrats to Gesink, was clearly the strongest. Keinath and Vandenbroeck overperforming could be very important for their teams trying to avoid relegation.

Nice time trial by Boasson Hagen, and 6th was in one way good, as a couple of the hilly stages didn't really look to favour him. However, it's a bit disappointing we're still chasing that Pro Tour win.
Congratulations to Gesink and alexkr00. A superb overall win!
And thanks for all the reports, Smowz. They were top notch, all the way through. |
