(For those of you who don't know what Creed's talking about, not only does Cancellara have a reputation for for being a very large hypocrite, it's also pretty well known in the peloton [although never proven in court] that the codename 'Clasicomano Luigi' in Fuentes' files refers to Cancellara)

Yes, but you only got there first because you're spanish and therefore doped

You got me, I doped. But not when posting that, I swear I did that post while being totally clean. I actually only doped up to 2006, then magically realised I had to stop cheating. Thank god the length of the posts is gradually getting shorter, and thus more human, so posting clean is possible now.

That's not how you do it. You need to say you doped for most of your life but not for your best post ever. And you stopped exactly 8 years ago.

It's ok kumazan, we forgive you. But only when you post the account names of people you also know who doped while posting and those helping them.

They will have to reset your post count back to 0 though.

It doesn't fit in this thread either, but Paris-Nice thread should be for the race.

What is your evidence that Schleck is doping? Contador is found guilty, Schleck not. I do believe he dopes, so i do believe Gesink dopes. I am not a Schleck fan or something like that. But how could you guys say Gesink will never be as good as Contador and Schleck because he is riding clean and the others are cheats. Where is the evidence for that? Fact is Rabobank admitted a team wide doping program and its hard to believe that one of their teamleaders wasn't part of it or didn't see anything. On Schlecks side, his brother is found guilty, but i have never heard anything linking Andy directly. The name Schleck was in the Fuentes files, but its Fränk. So what is yout proof Schleck is a doper and Gesink not, as many of you stated? I know many of you are dutch and i really understand you are hoping for success for Gesink, but this "Gesink is a superhero, he would finish every Grand Tour on podium without his bad luck and would even win them if the others weren't such cheats" approach annoys me.

The only suspension I know was the one of Tomas Enge. And I thought that that was the reason that he was fired by Prost.

That was for smoking weed iirc, nothing performance-enchanting (rather opposite). Grin

And doping in the past in football Barca? No way, this club was ever clean and admirable as hell, right Cunego59? Pfft

But I subscribe to kumazan's viewpoint, why of all doctors would he work just with Fuentes ?

Yes, he doped, but i was talking about Andy all the time, in the other thread.

Kritzo
There is no evidence that Contador has used doping. The only evidence they found was 1/100 of the allowed amount. It was a sign for doping, but they found no actual evidence in his body.

I won't rule out the possibilty that there was doping (I don't want to end up like those Armstrong fans^^), but if there was, I highly doubt it was limited to one club.

From the CL thread. Even I am not that blind Pfft But I will keep cheering for them just as much as you cheer for your Sagan. I think the probabilities of them being clean are equally high/low Wink

@ Kritzo: I don't know where you got that 1/100 number from, but as far as I remember, clenbuterol is a substance that isn't allowed at all in the blood, so even the smallest amount is against the rules. So it's not just a sign.

1 % of zero, that's... zero, if I have my maths right.
What's allowed is not the machines detection threshold, what's allowed is in the books.
Clenbuterol allowed dosage is 0. Simple.

Well..
The Danish journalists told us danes that he had 1/100. I have my information from som Danish newspapers.
So correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Contador
have a way to long quarantine?

No. It's what I said. No clenbuterol allowed. Had he had 1% of what he was caught with and the machine had been able to find it, he'd have gotten two years as well.
Some products have a certain amount of it allowed before making a test positive, but clenbuterol doesn't. It's binary. If anything is found the rider is positive.

I think clenbuterol is not performance enhancing and the clenbuterol found in Contadors blood was just as much that it can be found. I actually believe him, that he didn't took the clenbuterol on purpose because I don't think he is that stupid to take a drug that can be found and isn't performance enhancing. After a trip in China the entire German table tennis team had clenbuterol in their blood. They were found innocent, Contador wasn't, I think just because it is cycling and the justices wanted to show a sign that they not let everything through after Armstrong etc.

I think not only is it performance enhancing, but also a masking agent. It helps lose weight as well as oxygen intake for asthma patients I think.

No rider is stupid enough to take performance enhancing drugs, because they will get caught......funny it still happens then.

Yes and the cases you bring up about clenbuterol in sports, where very widespread. Many people tested positive at a time so it was deduced that it actually came from food. As far as I know, Contador was the only one to test positive for clenbuterol in his team, and the Tour de France for that matter, making it more unlikely that it was food.
