KoM ranking points for Sanz within reach, that's fairly good for a 4-rider team.

It looks like I'll have to settle for 5th, at the very best.

Another great stage from Konig, 8th place overall looks really nice indeed.

If Trofimov wins the last 2 hilly stages as well, I'm gonna choke somebody
Seriously, I'd be thrilled to hold on to 2nd overall with Schumacher, but a stage win would really cap this race off.

Great win from Trofimov, i expected him to win four stages here, so just three to go.
Just two to go, this will be easy overall for Trofimov imo, congrats.
Another quote for another Trofimov win, only one left to my predicted complete domination. It is nothing surprisive though, he is above the rest clearly. Congrats to Koenigsegg.

Not really a good stage for us, but too be expected with the weak squad we sent. Would be nice to see the guys get in a break in the next couple of days.
Trofimov's rivals just have no answer here, they seem to be racing in his wake.

No stagepoints here, but Chris Anker did the right thing and spend all of his energy staying with the front group. Three riders infront of him GC-wise was not able to do so, and 12th GC atm is a fantastic result. I can only hope that is also the result in the end.
Bauke Mollema also sitting decently in top 30. A bit of luck and he could do a top 25 here. Pichon is in 40th place so an outside bet for him to join the attacks on stage 7 or 8.
Diego Ulissi could have top 5'ed here, but 9th in the Tirreno, and a possible top 15 here is also very nice.

Which, if you hadn't seen the startlist, was a KILLER result for Luis Leon in this race.

It is the blessing of the team. Their managers is incredible at picking the best possible races. And after this many seasons, it can't be all coincidence anymore.

Before seeing the startlits, I thought the field will be split 50/50 between Paris - Nice and Tirreno and I was still thinking that LLS can get a top 5.
After seeing the startlist, the goal changed to a podium

Trofimov is in the great shape!
I´m pleased seeing another my rider (this time Boucher) in long break. Actually, with my really weak line-up I can´t hope for nothing more

Diggle still in the Top 10, which amazes me somewhat! And being so aggressive too. Crazy. Pity Ignatiev is, in the AIs opinion, a sprinter. Guess he's not going to be much use in the man game. |

Nice one by Impey! Great sprint.
Though, Trofimov really is the rider to beat. He could very well make it six in a row.

Two stages remain for somebody ... anybody ... to beat Trofimov. And for Gastauer to hold onto a very nice Top 10 in GC!
Sucks for Milka though, it was very annoying to see Konig abandon

Roux moving up to 10th, unfortunately due to a crash. Let's see if he can hang on in the last stages, or maybe open up some gaps.

Am I mentally ill for replacing "Trofimov" with "Demare" in the recent race reports to cheer me up a bit?

Had hoped for Konig to do well here as I like him a lot in real. Sorry to Milka.
Trofimov beating my Thuringen performance. |

Can't go much better than this. Races like this is just perfect for Trofimov.
Quite bizarre indeed that Swift did not sprint, especially when Vesuvio worked at the front.

To be fair, this time it was a big help that almost all other managers sent their hilly leader to Tirreno. And to choose between Tirreno and this race, it's a 50% chance to get the best one.
Oh, and thanks Avin.

Think the prologue might have played in role in choosing between Tirreno and Paris - Nice. Trofimov and Schumacher are the best TT'ers between the top punchers and they are the two top punchers starting here.
Anyway, Congrats!
Hope to see someone else beating him though, only a break could do this though

This Trofimov display is just incredible. Impey went close, though Swift is not really that much worse over the climbs so why he was not there who knows. Trofimov just duffs everyone up on these sorts of stages.
The best thing to do guys is let a break go (preferably with plenty of green and white in).
SRB trying to get something going in the race, Sibilla seems to be the designated flat break guy. Sulzberger did amazingly well in the sprint there, he has been looking to get in breaks as well. Very versatile sort of rider I think.
