Ian Butler
Great result, once again Smile

The route

A flat stage for the sprinters.

s8.postimage.org/jzlodjcl1/image.jpg

A flat stage with two small hills, it will most likely be for the sprinters.

s8.postimage.org/6779hwlth/image.jpg

A hilly stage, it could be decided between the favourites or the members of a lucky breakaway.

s8.postimage.org/gijmakdit/image.jpg

The last stage's first half is fairly hilly, then in the second climb there is a massive climb, where the GC most likely will be decided.

J. Rujano

D. Oss

R. Valls

This is the first race for two of our leaders, so we don't expect much from it. It will be great for getting themselves in shape for the more important races.

Ian Butler
Hope to see Rujano in the final stage Smile

Miguel98
I hope to see Valls doing something.

Ian Butler: Well, his fitness is around 60-65, so I'd not expect too much from him, but who knows? Wink

Miguel98: Well, he will surely work a lot, he is definitely in a teammate role for this race.

Vuelta a Mallorca: Stage 1

A flat stage for the sprinters.

s7.postimage.org/5qr1z2kyz/PCM0001.jpg

The breakaway with the two most famous members (Fuglsang and Castroviejo) highlighted.

s7.postimage.org/i2tyck8tn/PCM0002.jpg

They got caught easily by Liquigas and Saxo. We tried to get the wheel of Sagan for the sprint, but we knew we might not have a chance for a top 10 place with the amount of strong sprinters in the peloton.

s7.postimage.org/j4z2xzlbf/PCM0003.jpg

Who won? Aaand... The announcer is shouting the name of J.J.Haedo who took this brilliant win in front of Sagan! What a great victory for Saxo!

As expected, we did not make it into the top 10. But the guys gave their best, so we can't be disappointed. Also, having three riders in the top 15 is not that bad.

The big loser of the day was definitely Dan Martin, who lost 4'34 thanks to a split in the peloton. We probably won't see him contending the GC in this year's Vuelta a Mallorca.

fernando97
Not a bad start, but hopefully the guys are still going to be able to do bigger things in the next stages.

FroomeDog99
Did you work out how to disappear the names on your keyboard?
Anyway, some quality sprinters in Mallorca so let's see if Oss can get a top 10 Smile

juszta
FroomeDog99: Yes, I did, thanks to kimiopn! But as I said at the beginning, I had quite a few reports pre-written (until the end of Mallorca), so from then you will see floatingandreallyannoyingname-less pictures Wink

fernando97: Well, tomorrow is another flat stage, let's see what they can do!

Ian Butler
Poor Dan Martin Frown he's out of the running Pfft

Miguel98
Some good results, taking care the names in front of you. And JJ Haedo beating Sagan? Shock

sutty68
A steady start for the team in Spain Wink

juszta
Ian Butler: Poor guy... At least he managed to stay in the peloton today! Pfft

Miguel98: I was surprised too, but he must have had a really good day! Smile

sutty68: They might have delivered some nice results today, too! Grin

Vuelta a Mallorca: Stage 2

Another flat stage, this time with two tiny climbs. Sagan is the clear favourite of the stage.

s2.postimage.org/nvo3zgxvt/PCM0004.jpg

The BotD contained B. Feillu and M. Cardoso. The portuguese took both of the Intermediate sprints.

s2.postimage.org/g1nie2q2x/PCM0005.jpg

But they were caught 10 km to go. This time we decided to build a sprint train ourselves. It looked kind of promising...

s2.postimage.org/3x88x3d6x/PCM0006.jpg

Goddaert takes a surprising win for AG2R in front of Rojas and Sagan. Oss finishes on an amazing 5th place. Well done, Daniel!

We have done quite well in the last flat stage, we are now heading for the hills. With the amount of great climbers in the peloton, we might not have a shot at the GC, but we will try to figure out something! Wink

Also, big loser of the day: Denis Menchov. Just like Martin yesterday, he loses over 4 minutes thanks to a split in the peloton.

Great 5th, Oss seems to pick up some form! Smile

Great sprint from Daniel Oss, he even gave Sagan a run for his money Smile

Vuelta a Mallorca: Stage 3

A hilly stage, we can expect some time gaps. Brambilla decided to try and go for the Mountain Jersey...

s13.postimage.org/jvzaupa3r/PCM0007.jpg

...and here he is celebrating his first mountain sprint victory...

s13.postimage.org/4yqttowvb/PCM0008.jpg

...and the second one.

s13.postimage.org/kwuhmpkrr/PCM0009.jpg

It was a hectic stage, L.L.Sanchez went on a solo ride, followed by Brambilla in the distance.

s13.postimage.org/47t1qso6f/PCM0010.jpg

Brambilla has been caught by the scary train of Liquigas, but LuLu was still hanging on...

s13.postimage.org/rkr39b49z/PCM0011.jpg

But eventually he got caught too. That's when the favourites started to attack.

s13.postimage.org/4gqmgq0yv/PCM0012.jpg

Purito and Verdugo managed to get a small gap...

s13.postimage.org/cxq4rn5nr/PCM0013.jpg

But they were caught too... So Purito attacked again!

s13.postimage.org/qq4jn9wfb/PCM0014.jpg

But eventually it all came down to the sprint of the strongest riders...Rodriguez was in a very good position...

s13.postimage.org/ni02a8a5j/PCM0015.jpg

...But it was his teammate, Moreno, who took the victory! Well done!

Very strangely we did not lose any time, even though we were miles back... The jury must have been sleeping.

Also, yesterday's performance by Menchov was not just a coincidence, he is clearly out of form... He lost over 20 (!) minutes today.

Oh, one more thing:

Nice to see Brambilla wearing the dots Wink

Stromeon
Well done on not losing any time there despite it looking like they are 30 seconds behind Wink
