Gotta admit Swift is probably the main reason we aren't safe yet, he had an outstanding season.
A lot of that success is due to your leadouts indeed, they outpaced us way too often (especially considering their stats)

Thanks for taking Thomas Koep for one year. I was very happy with his team schedule and followed his season a lot hoping he can improve my climbing support in 2014, where he sure can help my other riders with his experience in the Pro Tour.
His Avenir performance was probably the standout performance by him helping Kirsch and still finishing with a good GC by himself. One more step to go until max development though. |

Looking ahead to 2014
As ever, Vesuvio will be looking to improve our squad, and first and foremost, we intend to renew the contract of every rider during Renewals.
There is a core section who will not leave no matter what, but others could be available. This could depend on the salary cap, but also whether there are replacements able to be brought in. It is unlikely that I will be selling for the sake of selling!
As usual, we will be hoping to loan in a couple of riders from PCT to CT in order to provide them experience.
Core
Andy Schleck
Frank Schleck
Ben Swift
Ben Gastauer
Toms Skujins
Alex Kirsch
Bob Jungels
Others
Mwangi Samwel
Marcel Kittel
Thomas de Gendt
Dmitri Medvedev
Maciej Paterski
Pedro Merino Criado
Marcel Barth
Steven Caethoven
Richie Porte
Matea Kvasina
David Claerebout
Sebastian Einsle
Gilles Heymes

I'm interested in Pedro Merino Criado to join Jesus Merino Criado. But I'm not sure if that's possible now that I'm in the CT.

+1 Those two are really interesting for Metinvest, especially Medvedev,as we need to rebuild our stage racing/climbing team somewhat.

You obviously know that Mwangi is a target for promoting African teams. But those talks come in transfer season. In a different note, I might like to loan one or two riders to you for next season. It'll still depend on who I sign and so forth.

Zoidl wants me to thank you for the great experience he has had at your team this past season. And we would be happy to return the favour and take one of Vesuvio's riders on loan this year should you so wish.
