Aww, no Impey Well, expect an offer for Augustyn from me as well, and I guess mine would contain one of those targets I hope a deal can be completed. |

Very nice to see that you want to keep the norwegian core, but you can forget Holst Enger

With Impey and Boasson Hagen you have two great riders in your core.
Will be interesting how you form your team in the end. In especially when Spilak is leaving. Like that you are going with a huge National focus there. |

The difference in money between PT and CT means that i can't see him not getting Holst Enger but international teams may also want him and you could get a great price

Interesting! We'll surely talk, as most of your riders are obviously interesting for a Pro Tour team, considering most of them have PT experience.

Looking forward to hear from both of you! And yeah, Impey won't be sold. He was great last season, and will be very similar to Van Staeyen next season.

I'll try anyway

Thanks! Though, it's far from certain Spilak leaves. It really depends on the market and offers I might get And if he leaves, I'll obviously need some kind of replacement from FA/another team, who's very likely to not be Norwegian if I want to be competitive. |

Various Ukrainian media reported Daniel Hoelgaard enjoyed his stay at PrivatBank so much he might be coming back for another year of gaining experience to improve his own abilities, mainly for the Ardennes classics.
Ofcourse PrivatBank would be an ideal place for him since he knows the staff and most of the current riders quite well.

Hoelgaard indeed enjoyed his stay in Ukraine! Though, he knows his future belongs to Aker-MOT, but he would also enjoy another year where he can get more opportunities than he's likely to get in Aker-MOT in 2014.
But admittedly, neither the team or Hoelgaard have thought much about where he'll ride next season. In general, it can be said that he's open for everything |

It's with great pleasure we can announce that both Aker and MOT will continue their sponsorship. Thus, our first post in our HQ has been updated.
We'd like to thank Røkke and Aker for the two years they've been with us, and we obviously look forward to another year and season trying to improve. The same goes for MOT, who joined us last season. We're thrilled to represent an organization like them, working to improve young people's attitude.
And there are more good news.
We're continuing our co-operation with Sykkel_Freak, and he has already designed our main jersey for 2014. He's also working on the rainbow jersey Edvald Boasson Hagen will wear, and he has also been asked to come up with ideas for the national champion jersey for Hoem, Biziyaremye and Spilak.
We won't comment speculations suggesting that they'll stay or leave our team due to our jersey maker being asked to think about their jerseys.
We're satisfied with the look of the jersey, just like we were last year. Thanks a lot, Sykkel_Freak. You can see images below.
Bring on 2014!

It came as a big surprise to us to see that riders like Markus Hoelgaard, Oskar Svendsen and Fridtjof Røinås tested and raced very poor in the last months of their U23 seasons last year. That's why none of them will be available for any pro team this year, meaning they will have to wait at least another year before becoming pro cyclists. They can only work hard to improve and earn a spot in our team or another professional cycling team.
As a Norwegian team we must take self-criticism, as we've clearly not monitored some of the Norwegian talents well enough, making it harder for them to make that final step to become a pro.
All this means we'll have to look elsewhere to sign riders for the coming season. That has forced us to complete a lot of meetings the last 24 hours, and we've ended up with some surprising conclusions. First of all, we would like to announce our interest in one of the best sprinter's of all times, Daniele Bennati.
Is Bennati heading for a surprising move to Norway?
We firmly believe he has another season at top level left, and we think, and as a fairly new team, his experience would be of great value to our younger riders. Also, admitedly we lacked some quality in flat stages and races where all the best sprinters lined up, and we hope Bennati can help us improve. Though, it must be said that we're not interested in paying him a lot of money, thus we're also looking at riders with similar abilities to Bennati. But we've decided to drop Bennati's name, and only his, thinking of sprinters.
Our second transfer target is another Italian. As Augustyn is likely to leave our team for a captain role in an African team, we're looking to bring in another captain and key lieutnant to a world class stage racer. We think Gianluca Brambilla has what it takes to lead our team in the greatest stage races there is, and we hope he enjoys our interest.
Our third transfer target is another stage racer. Yonathan Monsalve brings back great memories of our debut season where Alarcon performed sensationally well, which in the end secured us promotion. Admittedly, Monsalve doesn't quite have the same quality as his fellow countryman, but we'd love to see a Venezuelan top climber back in our team. Also, Jaramillo has had two great years here, and we think he could be a great mentor for Monsalve, who clearly has a bright future.
Though, we must admit it isn't realistic to bring all three riders mentioned to our team, but we would be thrilled if we could manage to get two of them to find pleasure and joy riding as captains for a Norwegian team this season.
Other riders we'll monitor during the transfer season, who has not been mentioned earlier or in this post so far, are Benjamin Dyball and the Scandinavians Samuel Pökälä and Lasse Norman Hansen. Though, there is a great gap between monitoring them and actually trying to sign them...
You should all also be noted that all this is just a result of the meetings the last 24 hours. Much can change before the actual transfer season starts.
All the best for all other teams for what looks to be a very busy pre-season!

I guess you'll have to try desperate sign Galta Will be interesting to see how you do in the transfer season, some interesting targets there. Bennati would be a good move if you could get him. |

Monsalve is a target for many of us it seems
If you're interested in Sprinters, we have one who is still strong at the top level and available for a very reasonable fee. However, we understand you may not be interested |

Interesting to see that you are interested in Brambilla. Venchi - Ferranti will be looking to sell either Brambilla or Duarte in the transfer season. Who it will be is yet to be fully decided, but with the calender in mind, we might very well end up releasing Brambilla. I'm sure we will talk once the transfer season arrives.

Top 3 | Giro d'Italia | Win | Liége-Bastogne-Liége | Win | Giro di Lombardia | Win | Amstel Gold Race | Top 10 | Team standings |
Just like in 2013, our first ever season in the Pro Tour, we've decided to aim high thinking of the goals for our season. Last season our goals gave us 21 out of 23 goal points, and 2014 will be exactly the same.
We start of with a goal we had in 2013 as well. A podium in the Giro d'Italia is without any doubt a huge ask, but we believe Spilak has what it takes. The race route looks perfect for him, and we think his great abilities on hills could favour him in Italy. We have to admit we dream of a Grand Tour win in 2014, and Giro d'Italia looks like the Grand Tour where we could have a shot at just that. Though, if we're able to get a podium, as we did in 2013, we and our sponsors will be thrilled.
Spilak ended Giro d'Italia 2013 on the podium. Could he make it once again, and maybe, as his team mates and leaders dream, challenge for the win?
The three other goals are made for Edvald Boasson Hagen. He had an incredible season thinking of the hilly classics and monuments, capping it off with great performances in Milano-Sanremo and Tour de Suisse as well. We cross fingers he can repeat his win in Amstel Gold Race, where he crossed the finish line solo in 2013.
In both Liége-Bastogne-Liége and Giro di Lombardia he missed the monument win by a few inches. He was especially close in Lombardy, where Fränk Schleck just managed to win it. A monument win was the only thing Boasson Hagen missed last season, and he's incredibly motivated to change that in 2014. Thus, we've made a win goal for both monuments mentioned.
Boasson Hagen could celebrate the win in last year's Amstel Gold Race. In 2014 he hopes to copy that win, but also add a monument win to his palmarés.
The final, and most important goal, is to once again sneak into the top 10 in the Pro Tour. In 2013 we just made it in the very last race in Lombardy, as we managed to edge Project 1t4i for that 10th place. We hope to strengthen our team during the transfer season. Hopefully that makes another top 10 in the rankings a realistic target for us.

Tough goals! Kudos for daring!
Hope Hagen can get that L-B-L win as it's the last of the Ardennes he hasn't won and as you say he deserves to get a monument in his palmares!
Good luck!

Thanks! I guess Liége-Bastogne-Liége becomes easier to win for anyone this season, thinking of that Pluchkin is likely to stay away after your comment after last year's Fléche and LBL |

You might be lucky.
I'm more and more leaning towards putting Bennati transfer listed.
It does slightly depend on his post-renewals wage, but I fear we won't be able to afford him if Herklotz joins us (that's actually not even an "if", it should say "when" ).
Still, I'd obviously need a replacement and you need to make a good offer, but we'll definitely have some reasons to talk and possibly negotiate in transfer season now.

The transfer season for the upcoming season has never been closer, and we're happy to present you some interesting numbers for our team, our riders wages!
Simon Spilak | € | 840.000 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | € | 820.000 | Daryl Impey | € | 290.000 | John-Lee Augustyn | € | 150.000 | Cristopher Juul-Jensen | € | 84.000 | Vegard Stake Laengen | € | 80.000 | Daniel Hoelgaard | € | 80.000 | Kobe Vanoverschelde | € | 72.000 | Vegard Robinson Bugge | € | 60.000 | Remberto Jaramillo | € | 54.000 | José Joaquin Rojas | € | 50.000 | Hector Duenas Nevado | € | 50.000 | David Livramento | € | 50.000 | Joseph Biziyaremye | € | 50.000 | Lucas Sebastian Haedo | € | 50.000 | Lars Petter Nordhaug | € | 50.000 | Anders Lund | € | 50.000 | Lorents Ola Aasvold | € | 50.000 | Sondre Sørtveit | € | 50.000 | Kristian Dyrnes | € | 50.000 | Sven Erik Bystrom | € | 50.000 | Sigurd Nesset | € | 50.000 | Bjørn Tore Holm | € | 50.000 |
Jure Zrimsek | Released | Klaas Vantornout | Released | Maurizio Biondo | Released |
It should be noted that all non-Norwegian riders except Juul-Jensen and Impey could be available in the transfer season. Thinking of the Norwegians, let's just say it will take a very good offer for us to let anyone of them go.
We'd also like to use the opportunity to say a big thank you to the three riders not offered a new contract. We hope they'll find new teams to represent this year.

Wow I expected Boasson Hagen to be more expensive than that. Well done. Also Spilak could be interesting to us this season having finally reached a wage below the 1mio mark.

Vanoverschlede on the way out?
Belgian newspapers today carried the story of a potential behind-the-scenes issue involving Kobe Vanoverschelde having an argument with his team manager. It is understood that the Belgian rider is interested in moving to the newly-promoted Team BPost - Vlaanderen.
BPost is understood to be looking for a new lead sprinter and it seems that Vanoverschelde would fit the mould they are looking for.

Vanoverschelde is indeed on his way out, and with his new wage, we expect some decent offers for him.
We appreciate the interest from Team Bpost, and Vanoverschelde was reported to go crazy when he read today's newspaper, seeing an opportunity to lead a Belgian team in the sprints on the highest level.

As said, most of our non-Norwegian riders are up for sale if the right offer is made.
