Great to see this going again... I need my Peter Sagan fix since my story is over.
Thanks, I was waiting with this for you to finish.
Just joking, your story was brilliant and Peter did it with you!
Now you got to live up to my standards...
Well ,i can maybe borrow some of your results to unlock my achievements?
Our stories will meet only in one race this year and i can really hope it will go similar as in you story.

Thanks guys, something went good and something worse, look yourself.
And you will be happy Ian that next races for Peter are in Belgium...
Tour of Oman , stage 6
Profile
The profile of the last stage is dad flat again, apart from the only minor steep hill at the beginning of the stage. This KOM point is only in this year's Tour of Oman and thus will determine the mountain jersey winner. Liquigas is not interested in this, they will rather try to set up Peter Sagan for his first podium this year and watch out Thor Hushovd, who can steal 3rd place in GC from Capecchi with possible win and bonus seconds.
We jumped right through under the only KOM point in this edition of the race and you can see many riders were trying to attack from the pack to get there first.
That resulted in group of 7 riders forming, icluding the danish rider Mads Christensen from Saxo. Mads won the KOM prize and is the fresh and only KOM jersey wearer in Tour of Oman, congrats to him. But the break was doomed today and was caught 20kms from the line.
We are already near the finish, 10kms to go to be precise. The riders are on the circuit which finish with slight uphill kick. You can see Liqui with different tactics, as Sagan got the wheel of Hushovd, after fading Oss and Sabatini brought him to the front.
And it looks like the good idea to be there, as coming to the last 2 kilometres Peter was well placed behind Goss, Breschel and Hushovd, the winner of two stages already in Oman.
These four riders are clearly the best sprinters in the desert this year. Peter Sagan still holding the wheel of insanly powerful Hushovd, can he at least pass Breschel or Goss to finish on the podium for the first time this year?
And yes, he can! Hushovd was in his own level, maybe with better fitness he is beatable. But now Peter Sagan has to settle with second place in front of Goss, still great to grab a podium finally. Unforunately Hushovd moved to third place in GC with his bonus seconds.
The comment of Avin, the journalist noob
So Peter Sagan finally delivered and finished 2nd in that last stage, he coud be pretty pleased with his outcome in Oman. The team Liquigas - Cannondale practised their sprint train preparations, Peter grabed five top 10 places, white jersey and 13th place in GC.
Eros Capecchi unfortunately missed that overall podium, but he was promising at Green mountain and should be happy too with his 4th place and very good early season test of legs.
Next stop for Peter? The Belgian cobbles! And i will be there to report for you.

Thanks all for following and commenting!
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
Profile
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, otr OHN in short is the cycling season opener in terms of higher tier cobbled races. We can hope for some competitive racing and first signs of who will be the classics king in 2012. There are several tough cobbled sections on the road, but except the last one they are not very long.
Startlist:
Race Favourites:
The startlist is looking like a cobbled all-stars, as there is almost every rider who can ride cobbles present.
+++ Cancellara, Boonen, Hushovd
++ Ballan, Flecha, Sagan
+ S.Chavanel, Pozzato, Boom, Nuyens, Thomas
Team Liquigas - Cannondale
The roles in the team are quite easy and obvious. All riders will work for Peter, as the combination of hills, cobblestones and possible sprint finish makes him a favourite. He has two top domestiques in persons of Oss and Longo Borgini.
The riders was certainly not happy with weather today ,as it was rainy and freezy. Peloton entered the cobbled section after the nervous first kilometres. The group of 6 riders arised from the chaos, Haddou, Boucher and Trofimov being the most suited for this terrain in the leading group. Also Nick Nuyens punctured and Bart de Waele jumped to the leading six later.
With 50kms to go, the pack was 2.40 behind the break.
As the peloton was climbing the steep cobbled wall in the final third of the race, you can see the leading group just rounding the next corner. Liquigas were still near the front, surrounding their leader.
As expected, Bart de Waele dropped all his remaining copmanions and was in the solo lead when entering the last, enormously long paved section. But the peloton was near and flying!
With experienced Belgian de Waele caught, attacks came from the bunch. Dangerous names Nuyens, Ballan and Saprtacus himself. But powerful italian Daniel Oss shut it all down, the sprint was nearing.
But not for Cancellara, who slipped on the wet road and hit the deck hard. Lets hope it was nothing serious, he finished the race around 30th place.
The sprint started pretty early, with Hushovd going strangely from first figure, followed by Terpstra and Chavanel. Tom Boonen with Peter Sagan in his slipstream held the great positions for the strike.
Going to the flamme rouge, these two are clearly in front of the rest and Sagan is trying to follow the speed of Tornado Tom. Hushovd and Chavanel went too early.
It seemed like it is only the battle between legend of the northern classics and upcoming superstar.
But wait, was that a bird, or wass that plane? No it was Danilo Hondo coming with a speed of light from the left to grab one of the biggest wins of his career. On the other, right hand side, Nick Nuyens was also like a rocket and finished 2nd. Boonen just held Peter Sagan by centimetres to complete a podium.
The comment of Avin, the journalist noob
That was an incredible finish, i was so sure Boonen or Sagan will win, that i almost did not notice the two bullets Hondo and Nuyens coming from the back. They timed their sprints perfectly, as on the second to last pictures we made, they are nowhere.
Peter will be probably a bit disappointed, but it is still only the start to the season and he doing constantly well. He probably thought holding the Boonen's wheel was the best option and it almost was successful. He has a chance for another nice result at K-B-K, ridden tommorow.
Results
