Stage 4
Team Plan: We want to limit any time gapss today for JCP and try to get Riblon in yellow. We may put a man in the break as well, but it depends on the situation.
Todays stage is extremely lumpy and should favor guys like Phillipe Gilbert.
We tried to send Nicholas Roche in the break, but FDJ saw him as a threat.
Karsten Kroon and Simon Gerrans were up the road. They won the sprint over Bjorn Leukemans. We attacked with Hubert Dupont here, seeing an opportunity to gain some time. We also launched a sprint for Hinault when no other sprinters contested, and he got a gap. He joined Dupont and chased.

Gerrans took the first mountain sprint.
Kroon won the second one in front of Chavenel while Dupont and Hinault, who never truly recovered from there chase, were dropped.
Meawhile back in the Peli, Several outside contenders were caught out in a split, including Luis Leon Snachez and Tom Danielson, and would never come back.
Leukamens stuck on the next bump, but Chavenel was on his wheel and countered the move on the other side, and gapping the others.
The French Champion took the next two climbs to take the KOM classification by two points over Kroon and Kristjan Koren. He had :56 on the breakaway.
We put Roche on the front. Our guys were dropping off, but Riblon and Peraud were comfortably up front. Gibert attacked, but didn't get to far and we let it go.
Chavenel takes it and the Mailot Jaune!
Leukemans comes in at 1:46 with Gerrans and Kroon at 2:01. Cancellara, Hinault, and Dupont are swept up by the peleton led by Roche, as we knew neither of them could produce a good result at this point anyway, Gilbert and pack are led by EBH.
Riblon. JCP and Roche all came in with them.

I figured it out! I didn't have display roadsides checked. Fixed. The crowds just realized the TDF was going on.

Why do breaks keep winning?
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

One of the good things about the new game I suppose, other teams actually try and pull back breakaways.
Great read so far! Can't wait for the next stage or the dreaded mountains |

Stage 5
Team Plan: Rest the team. If Riblon is feeling good on the final bump we may go for yellow. ()
The break today was an easy 9 man group. They were all but caught with 20 km to go after an uneventful day. that was way off.
Vigano fromt he break was passed by an attack from cancellara whereas Anthony Roux, 2nd overall, and Maarten Wynants were farther up the road.
While they were being caught, a massive crash occured at the back. Many riders including GC favorites like Froome, Kloden, and Van Garderen went down as well as the yellow jersey and 3rd place overall!. Bouet was our only man down, and he cam out unscathed.
For results after the fall, click on this link: https://www.mediaf...Abbeville_–_Rouen.xls
Up front Hunter led out Farrar. We had Hinault, but he would struggle to 13th.
Cav burst around Farrar and opened a gap like the missile he is.
And takes his second stage win with ease!
Roux, who had been in the break was dropped, meaning Riblon takes the GC lead!
Minutes later, the yellow jersey crosses the line, a beaten man.
Easy win for Cav, but big losses for favorites.
Stage Rankings:
Rank Name Team Time
1 Mark Cavendish Sky Procycling 5h22'26
2 Alessandro Petacchi Lampre - ISD s.t.
3 André Greipel Lotto Belisol Team s.t.
4 Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, le crédit en ligne s.t.
5 Juan José Haedo Team Saxo Bank s.t.
6 José JoaquÃn Rojas Movistar Team s.t.
7 Óscar Freire Katusha Team s.t.
8 Peter Sagan Liquigas - Cannondale s.t.
9 Matthew Goss GreenEdge Cycling Team s.t.
10 Borut Božic Astana Pro Team s.t.
Riblon has done it for us! Taken yellow! Maybe not the way we would have liked, but it'll work! JCP moves into ninth, in prime position for the real race to begin!
General Classification:
Rank Name Team Time
1 Christophe Riblon AG2R La Mondiale 19h05'04

8 Richie Porte Sky Procycling + 2'16
9 Jean-Christophe Peraud AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
10 Yaroslav Popovych RadioShack - Nissan + 2'18
Cavendish takes the points lead from Nuyens with his stage win and is in the drivers seat to defend his jersey from last year.
Pints Classification:
Rank Name Team Points General
1 Mark Cavendish Sky Procycling 51 109
2 Nick Nuyens Team Saxo Bank 8 86

8 Óscar Freire Katusha Team 18 45
9 Christophe Riblon AG2R La Mondiale 0 44
10 Simon Gerrans GreenEdge 0 39
Chavanel keeps Polka dots as a consolation prize, but I think he likes yellow better.

Okay, I'm writing stage 6. Note: This is not the real route, so stage 7 is a Roubaix like stage.

Looks good so far, but as a helpful suggestion (since this is your first story) I would put that results in a table because it makes them so much easier to read. PM if you need help or don't understand what I mean.

Not quite sure I understand what you are trying to say but instead of posting the results like this:
1 Peter Sagan Liquigas 5h22'26
2 Marcel Kittel Project 1t4i s.t.
Put it like this:
1 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas | 5h22'26 | 2 | Marcel Kittel | Project 1t4i | s.t. |
|
|
|
