Looks like 6 riders (Leipheimer, Zabriskie, Vandevelde & Hincapie and 2 others) confess doping usage, but for giving information about Armstrong, they will be suspended for 6 months in september. Also Jonathan Vaughters has cooperated....
That is pretty huge news. The noose is tightening.
Interesting for sure and if it is true Lance may be screwed. Why are Hincapie doing it. He will retire anyway. Levi is old too, will retire very soon too. They are kinda ruining their own name by admitting.
It would have come out one way or another. At least this way they now can guarantee that their legacy will be to help clean up the sport to some extent or at least reveal their previous problems.
Plus the suspension will mean jackshit to them.
I see your points but still. I think its weird. I'm looking forward to see which timeline they admit do been doping in.
Well the Garmin guys are probably admitting it during the US Pstal days only, same with Hincapie, and the y have bidg anti doping stuff. We'll see what Leipheimer says, he's been on and off with the team for years, so... wasn't anyone who testified given immunity? So why aren't they?

I saw him only yesterday on Vive Le Velo, a show about the tour, he was a guest there...
It was mentioned on the page earlier. Really sad news for cycling.
It really is.
It's very weird because I was just watching him in Vive le Velo yesterday, he looked fine.
I wonder what could've happened. His girlfriend will be crushed, poor girl.

Let's put this where it belongs (I hesitated with "an even funnier topic", but it's a little too appalling for that one).

Lance Armstrong's Facebook
So let me get this straight....come in and tell USADA exactly what they wanted to hear in exchange for immunity, anonymity and the opportunity to continue to race the biggest event in cycling. This isn't about USADA wanting to clean up cycling rather its just plain ol' selective prosecution that reeks of vendetta
I'm a bit concerned about this comment, as it certainly implies some of the riders in the TdF did testify against Lance (Hincapie, Vande Velde, Zabriskie, and Leiphimer are the names floating around). Question I now have is what sort of dirt did USADA have on those guys that they wouldn't talk against Lance to a grand jury, but will to the USADA?
What could they tell to a grand jury ? That they doped and that Armstrong did too, more or less. That there was an organised team doping there as well.
Was that what the grand jury was interested in ? No. They were interested in knowing if tax payers money was used to buy PED. Which they couldn't prove, so they dropped the case.
From a sportive viewpoint, they probably claimed the very same, but this time it has importance, because USADA forbids doping.
Why should USADA seek revenge upon Armstrong ? Doesn't make sense.
Anonymity ? Every one following cycling has heard the acknowledged names of the some of ones who (would) have spoken, and knows some of them are presently riding the Tour de France. Wow, that's one well-kept secret.
Exactly what USADA wanted to hear ? Sure, like all the people before, with a probable accuracy, and all claiming the same thing (which is more or less like what happens and happened in other teams). Probably one big lie, right ? Erm...
Where he has he point though, and what I don't feel comfortable with either, is that they continue racing, but will suspended while normally out of competition. I thought that was against all antidoping rules.
To completely blow that argument of Lance's out of the water, you just have to state one fact:
11 riders were offered immunity in exchange for deposition to bring down Bruyneel and the dope doctors. Armstrong was one of them. HE REFUSED.
The other 10 accepted.

It may sound strange but I respect Armstrong for refusing. The others are showing they're pussies and traitors.

They are only admitting because they want to save their asses. They wouldn't have done it if that wasn't the case. They denied it their entire career just like Armstrong. And now that it's time to suffer the consequences they betray Bruyneel and co. Armstrong doesn't. He may be a cheat, an egotistical man but atleast he has a backbone. The others don't.
@Alakagom It is my opinion and if you don't agree with it then that is your right but please if that is the case respond with something constructive or don't respond at all.

He got rid of his backbone when he decided to cheat.

Seems you can't take a friendly jibe
Armstrong destroyed careers of many. Him getting that penalty is justice. At least the others are willing to accept something, not like Armstrong who's still refusing everything.
